A great romantic getaway

by llamaman , Jan 29 '04
Pros: Relaxing, casual inn. Great breakfasts! Frazier!
Cons: You have to eventually leave...
The Azalea Inn came highly recommended from a colleague for Management Recruiters. He is so impressed with this inn, that he puts his prospective employees up here when they come to town. My wife and I spent our 10th anniversary weekend in this Inn. ...

Gracious hosts, comfy bed, beautiful mountain views, convenient location, scruptuous breakfast = memorable experience!

by crystalized , Mar 05 '06
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nobody fixes breakfast like this for me at home!
We had the urge to ski and the need to get away for a few days. We had canceled an earlier trip to farther away because of timing and schedules and were feeling disappointed. On the spur of the moment, we cleared a few days and decided North ...

Azalea Inn is our favorite!!

by bandblover , Feb 07 '08
Pros: Comfortable, affordable, inviting, warm, yummy food, peaceful, and friendly.
Cons: Time limitation we have at the Azalea due to the reality of life!
We stay at the Azalea Inn every year in July as my husband performs magic at a local event. It is by far our favorite B&B, and we compare all others to the Azalea. Frank & Karen are the embodiment of grace and hospitality. Their attention to the comfort ...

A great weekend!!!!
by jenn_steve ,Jan 22 '07
Pros: Great Breakfast, comfortable bed, Frazier
Cons: we had to leave early in the morning to avoid an ice storm
My boyfriend and I spent my birthday here while also skiing. Karen and Frank were very friendly. Breakfast was the best ever. Frazier was so cute and lovable. Everyone was very friendly. We met a number of other couples. Great location...we walked to several shops and restaurants. WE had to most comfortable bed ever!!!! Everything was great down to the cookies left for us. I highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely stay here the next time we go skiing.

Azalea Inn B& B
by rcowell85 ,Jul 23 '06
Pros: Comfortable, clean room, great food, friendly people.
Cons: We had to go home after our mini vacation.
My wife and I stayed in the Rooster Cottage during our stay in BE. Everything was outstanding, the rooms were spotless and the grounds were immaculate. Karen and Frank were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect and Frank's directions to the nearby waterfalls were right on point. We would highly recommend the Azalea Inn and will no doubt be back many times.

Home away from home!!
by shermlinda ,Aug 27 '06
Pros: Location, Comfort, Frank and Karen!!
Cons: Have not found one thing wrong in our 3 stays!!!
The Eagles Nest is the only place I have stayed with Frank and Karen. I have returned 3 times and must say it is by far the ONLY place I will stay when I come to Banner Elk. The first time I stayed was to deliver my son to Lees-McRae College. Leaving my first born was not an easy thing to do, but to have the Eagles Nest as our retreat was the one thing that made the transition much easier. The KING size bed, the Jacuzzi, and a delightful breakfast each morning are only a few of the pluses. Frank and Karen take such pride in what they do. Everything is spotless and welcoming! The location is also a huge plus, walking distance to a really nice coffee shop and incredible restaurants. My husband I highly recommend the Azalea Inn, you won't be disappointed!! Become a member of the Azalea Inn family!!!

This is the best Bed and Breakfast Ever!
by blondie031677 ,Feb 28 '05
Pros: The fireplace, the bathroom and breakfast were all amazing!
Cons: Absolutely nothing!!
Some one had suggested the Azalea Inn to my friend and I, so we did! And you know what? This was the best experience we have ever had! Frank and Karen were as sweet and nice as anyone could ever be! They thought of everything in the room...even down to the welcome letter with homemade chocolate chip cookies! The room was beautiful, the fireplace, the kitchenette, the lighting and the breakfast was perfect! I can't even come close to write about what a perfect place this is! I look forward to going back, soon!
