Pros: Easy to install, easy to program, and savings! Cons: Finicky programming buttons
Oh, mercy! have you looked at energy costs lately? What a time for the Ms and me to move back to a cold climate, when both natural gas and heating oil prices are spiraling upward! [bangs head on keyboard] Dumb! Dumb! Dumb! But wait! there ...

Pros: 5 + 2 programming; vacation mode; filter change alarm Cons: display cost me a clock
Okay, I have to admit, my wife and I went a little crazy after we moved into our new house. First thing through the door she decided that she didn't like the eggshell white on every wall. Check one for the paint sellers
Next it was the ...

Pros: Good programmability options. Easy to install. Inexpensive. Cons: Very short battery life, very dangerous when batteries are weak.

Would Purchase this Unit Again
by dnichols2620 ,Jan 20 '09
Pros: Ease of installation. Easy to program Cons: No backlight. No readout on the filter timer.
I put this thermostat in as the season was changing from AC to heat and have been very pleased. I especally like the ability to program the weekend different from the weekdays since our hours at home are different.
I installed the unit myself and was very easy to complete, even for a home repair novice like myself. I purchased the unit at Lowe's and one week later it went on sale and Lowe's refunded the difference.
The only thing I wish it did different was to give a reading of where the filter timer is in relationship to the 400 hours. That would also give me an idea of how much the unit is runing.

Excellent Thermostat - Highly Recommend
by richard8800 ,Dec 23 '07
Pros: Ease of use, easy install, intuitive, excellent price. Cons: None that I can think of.
I've had the best reliability and ease of use with this Hunter thermostat model 44110. In fact, I liked the brand, functionality, and style so much I replaced it with a Hunter model 44115c, which is the same but provides an Indiglo backlight. I no longer have to struggle in the darkness to check the thermostat settings.
The battery life on my Hunter is going on a year now, and never had to change since first install. And it was very easy to install. I'm not sure what the previous reviewer's problem was with this thermostat. Maybe his boss yelled at him that day.
I give this Hunter thermostat a high recommendation.
