Pros: No filters, clean smelling air, works as advertised Cons: high cost, bright light on unit.
I bought the Ionic Pro for my bedroom and really like it. Cost was $149.00 at Wal-Mart. I was originally looking at the Ionic Breeze, but couldn't bring myself to pay $350.00 for an air cleaner. I have had my Ionic Pro for about 3 months and do not ...

Pros: Quiet; inexpensive to buy and maintain; easy to clean; works well Cons: Air smells slightly 'chlorinated' from ionized air
After a bad bout of hay fever I decided I needed to purify the air in my bedroom. I saw the "Ionic Breeze" advertised on TV but was shocked at the $350 price. I checked out HEPA-filter devices but they're noisy and I didn't like the idea of constantly ...

Pros: clean smell released, don't have to buy filters Cons: minimal air movement

Quite overpowering!
by stopwastincash ,Mar 28 '06
Pros: Quiet, did collect dust particles, reasonable price Cons: strong ozone odor
I recieved this as a birthday gift.I had been wanting one for a long time but just never got around to purchasing one.The first thing I noticed was the fact that it was so quiet,I wasn't sure if it was doing anything. Then I started noticing I was getting headaches frequently and my eyes would sting and burn, which I didn't think about the strange smell being emitted from the machine. This was way before they started the warnings about the excess ozone these machines can produce.I finally put the strange smell and my new headache and stinging eyes together and decided to stop using the machine and my problems stopped. To be fair I was using this in an apartment on low setting.Maybe if you use this in a more open building it wouldn't be so overpowering. This product definitely wasn't for me.Hope my experience will be useful to you.
