Pros: Excellent acting, writing, music and special effects Cons: Some "leaps of faith" required for the story
"Spider Man 3" is, in some ways, the most difficult of this film franchise to analyze. I saw the movie and noon today amidst a huge opening day crowd and felt that there were a variety of moods shown by the people as they left. Some seem satisfied. ...
Pros: The cast is good, as is the dark Spider-Man Cons: The film tries to accomplish too much
Peter Parker has grown used to the changes that have come with becoming a web-slinging hero. Not only does it bring him recognition among the citizens of New York, but it also makes Peter feel more responsible for them. Still, he has to make time to be a ...
Pros: James Franco, Bruce Campbell, even Stan Lee's cameo; great action scenes; complex plot Cons: Sandman's tie-in to Uncle Ben's murder; not enough Venom
Peter Parker will always be a nerd. It doesnt matter if he dresses snappier, wears his hair down, or gets an attitude adjustment, thanks to a living symbiote attached to him amplifying his aggressive behaviour, the boy will always be a nerd at ...
Spiderman 3 had a lot to live up to the first film was good and the second superb. Despite keeping the same Director (Sam Raimi), this trilogy ender followed the same pattern as X-Men 3 ...
Pros: Good special effects, good heroic themes, connections with previous films... Cons: Too soft on the villains, too hard on the audience.
Spoilers will abound in this review. You've been warned. I like Spider-Man. I like comic books. I like superheroes. I like comic book movies and loved the first two Spider-Man movies. So when the 140-minute "Spider-Man 3" was finished, ...
Pros: Some good action scenes Cons: Lame villains, lame story, Peter Parker is a dork
I didn’t like Spider-Man 3, and most of my friends and family who saw it agree. It has too many villains and none of them are given enough time, plus Peter Parker’s emasculation wasn’t fun to watch, either. The only thing worth seeing about this ...
Pros: Bruce Campbell delivers another fine performance. Cons: Didn't live up to the hype or the first two.
B-list actor Bruce Campbell hit the screen again in the highly anticipated movie by his college friend Sam Raimi, Spider Man 3. In this film, Campbell stars as a french Maitre d' at an upscale french restaurant. A young photographer, Peter ...
Pros: Maguire and Franco, themes of forgiveness and redemption Cons: seems to be getting skewered by a lot of reviewers...
It's shaping up to be a spectacular summer. My trip to the movies tonight reminded me how many blockbusters await over the next few months: Shrek the Third, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Simpsons Movie, Harry ...
Pros: Maguire; Dunst; Franco Cons: Clunky writing; obvious plot devices; visually and emotionally dark; good actors underused
I didn't grow up with lots of comic book superheroes. Maybe that's a girl thing. But I've always loved Spider-man, from the time I first met the web-crawling hero years ago. My soft spot for Spidey may seem a bit strange, given my arachnophobia, but ...
Pros: Great acting, story, villains, special FX, very entertaining! Cons: Bryce Dallas Howard and the whole Gwen Stacy story arc doesn't smell right
Okay. So the new Spiderman movie has been out for almost a full month; breaking not only records that were set from the previous two films, but breaking confidence in the webheads puppet-masters as well as the future of the popular franchise. ...
Pros: interesting theme, cool new situations Cons: too many subplots, overly long, erratic action
Spider-Man 3 reminded me of a lot of 3's: Superman III, Batman Forever, X-Men: The Last Stand, Jaws III, et cetera. But it's a veritable Energizer Bunny of box-office gold. For one reason or another, there's an itch out there that this film is uniquely ...
Pros: Spidey's transformation around 2/3 of the way in. The last half-hour. Cons: There is too much going on at once.
I'll be the first to admit I was somewhat underwhelmed by the similarity in the endings of the first two Spider-Man films, but as time went on, I came to appreciate them for all their action-packed lovey-dovey chewity-chocolatey goodness. ...
Pros: Much better CGI Cons: The continuous unveiling; too much emotional baggage…
My daughter and I recently went to see the latest installment in the Spiderman movie franchise, and on the way out of the theater, I asked her how she like the movie. She responded that “it was okay, and that “it was not the best move she’d seen ...
I had a bad feeling about Spider-Man 3. In my opinion, the franchise took a big quality dip between one and two, and I feared further decline. My fears were pretty much confirmed, as Spider-Man 3 offers fabulous special affects sandwiched within ...
Pros: Impressive special effects. Cons: Too many MAN TEARS and unanswered questions.

Pros: Visual Effects. Touching scene at the end. Cons: Too many villains. Peter/Mary Jane romance doesn't get enough screen time to fully develop.
If the makers of comic book movies dont study history, then theyre doomed to repeat it. Such is the case with Spider-Man 3, which finds itself trapped in the same murkiness as the subpar Batman sequels. After the success of the original Batman, ...
Pros: Humor, Battle Sequences, Performances, Soundtrack, & Bruce Campbell. Cons: Excessive Direction, Episodic Screenplay, Some Performances, Editing, &
Ever since Sam Raimi's film adaptation of the Spider-Man comic was released in 2002, the film was a smashing success as it proved that there's new life for film versions of comic books. Marvel's X-Men franchise and Hellboy both were ...
If there's one thing that every entertainment publication has had in common over the last few months, it's that they've all featured Kirsten Dunst's recent egotistical quote that if the Spiderman franchise were continue without her, Tobey Maguire, ...
Pros: Decent Spider-Man flick Cons: A true waste of a great franchise
I honestly haven't figured out yet whether I like this movie or not. Perhaps that's the best summation of the film I can give, but I'll try to expand on that a bit at least. Coming in the wake of what I honestly believe is the best "comic book" movie ...
Pros: As always, good special effects; nice cameo by Bruce Campbell Cons: The script should have gotten a major overhaul
SPECIAL NOTE: I am posting this review ten days before the movie's premiere. Please don't tell me I'm faking it. I'm a local reviewer who gets invited to previews, d*** it! -- SKAD13 *** After the glorious heights of Spider-Man ...
Pros: Spider-Man, does whatever a Spider can Cons: Too long and messy
It is no simple task to adapt comic books into film. Super hero stories make their own kind of sense printed on pulp paper wedged between glossy covers, but they do not always transfer seamlessly to other media. The plots can easily seem absurd when ...
Pros: Nothing noticeably weak; The addition of Bryce Dallas Howard and Topher Grace Cons: Bobbles the nine items that it should have just gotten a cart for
It's just under 24 hours after Spiderman 3 was seen by most of the general public, yet I bet you're already sick of reading about it. "There's too much crammed in here...Too many villians for one movie...Seeing Tobey Maguire turn into an emo state of ...
Pros: Direction. Most of the first half. Cons: The second half. Script. Compact plot.
If you're a frequent moviegoer, one question might pop into your mind once Spider-Man 3's credits roll: when was the last time that a trilogy's third film wasn't a special effects extravaganza? The Matrix Revolutions. X3. And the ...
Pros: Terrific action sequences, top-notch special effects. Usual fine acting from Maquire and JK Simmons. Cons: The big confession towards the end. James Franco's acting. Mary Jane's whining.
Spider-Man, Spider-Man ..what more else can they do with Spider-Man? Well, the answer to that would have to include tying up loose ends from the original film from a few years back, plus add some more from the comic book storyline, even ...
Pros: Tremendous action sequences/special effects Cons: Too much going on, Venom felt like an afterthought, laughable dialogue, little character development
Out of all the various Marvel titles, Spider-Man has got to be my favorite. Spidey is the God of all super-hero's in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment in this franchise, due not only to the amazing action ...
Pros: some excellent fight scenes Cons: to many plots jam in one movie and it gets boring.
I went and watch Spiderman 3 yesterday when I was on the trip to the big city. Now 2 years ago anyone who was a fan of super heroes was in there hey days, Spiderman 2, Batman Begins, X-men. And well last year we got the cure for our insomnia with ...
Pros: A satisfying conclusion(?) for the Spider-Man saga Cons: Boring villains, cheap writing
I was nearly giddy with anticipation when I sat down in the theater to see this film on opening night. I had been waiting patiently ever since Spidey 2 came out three years ago to see what the wall-crawler would be up to this time. The lights finally ...
Pros: Venom is in it Cons: Dull fights, Venom is portrayed poorly, sandman, emo thing, etc.
Before I start, let me explain that I really enjoyed Spider-Man, especially Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 3 was my most anticipated movie of the year and I bought an imax movie ticket for the 3:30 AM show on the movie's release. My friends and I got to the ...
Pros: Great action and special effects. Good humor, choreography, directing. Cons: Acting. Script. Crying. Ending could have been tighter. No villain here equals one Doc Ock.
After the defeat of Dr. Octopus, Peter Parker (Toby Maguire), his alter ego Spider-Man, and Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) go about their life. Peter has found the perfect balance between being a reporter, a good boyfriend, and a superhero to the people. He ...
Pros: Great soundtrack. Smooth jazz, blues, show tunes and backup music score that really worked. Cons: CGI, Acting, Script, Editing, Scene selection were all HORRIBLE. Very disappointing.
Lets start out by saying that I am a true diehard fan. I have collected Spiderman comic books since I was 9 years old and that was 30 years ago! By the time I was twelve I had been bitten by wayyy too many spiders hoping to be turned into spiderman. I ...
Pros: Action
Sandman's Story
SFX Cons: Plot was too dark
Damaged image for Spider-Man
Quite frankly, Spider-Man 3 reviews are about a dime a dozen right now. The truth is, this was a much anticipated film. But the question is, how much bang for your buck will you be getting? First, lets start by saying that Spider-Man has built a ...
Pros: Cinematography, great villains, Venom Cons: Storyline tries too much and pacing problems
Ill start off by saying I have never read a Spiderman comic book, so I cant say how close the movie is to the comics. My exposure to Spiderman mostly came from a couple Playstation games I owned (ps1, not the ps2 movie version) and the first ...
Pros: Decent action in spots, good special effects, Thomas Haden Church Cons: Too many plot lines, too much time undoing past mistake, several actors seemed bored
Overview First, let me tell you where I'm coming from. I'm a 40+ year old, red-blooded American, heterosexual male -- and I love Spiderman. I have always loved Spiderman. Ever since I was a kid in the 60s/70s ...
Pros: Many things. Looks great. All actors do a good job, especially Grace. Cons: too much crammed into one film, atmosphere is inconsistent.
Sam Raimi is one workaholic. Not so long after the release of Spider-Man 2, he drops on us the third (300 million-)part of the series. Spider-Man 3, because of the characters involved, is by far the darkest of the first three Spidey film released so far. ...
Pros: The visuals are spectacular. Cons: Character development, repetition and too many villains.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) really has his work cut out for him here. Hes got to get passed his ego and really commit to Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst), make amends with his old friend Harry Osborne (James Franco) who keeps trying to kill ...
Pros: Decent effects. Cons: Mucho melodrama. Mary Jane is officially annoying.
Death. Taxes. The rise, and inevitable fall, of a movie franchise. Finally, the actuaries caught up with Peter Parker and his friendly neighborhood alter-ego. After two terrific installments that ranked among the best comic book movies ever made, ...
Pros: Full of emotion, strong character development, great villains, Many touching and comic moments Cons: Fake looking special effects, Lack of a central character, Not much action
I am a huge fan of the Spiderman series. I was delighted when I learned a third film was being made. The first was great, and the second even better. It's not often that a sequel is better than the original, but Spiderman pulled it off. I was thinking ...
Pros: Action sequences entertain and get you through the movie Cons: It tries you're patience, none of these villains are as good Doc Ock
A lot of critics are putting a beating on this third installment to the Spider-man franchise. Everyones expectations are high since most people consider Spider-man 2" as THE super-hero movie. But thats a side effect from the ...
Pros: All Original Cast, Best Effects Ever! Cons: Too many subplots, a little too long.
Spiderman 3, probably one of the biggest hyped movies of the summer, opened up in the US with record numbers as well as internationally. That doesn't mean it was good or bad, but you can tell how many people truly loved the first two installments, and it ...
Pros: Ties up some loose ends Cons: Too crowded. Too long. Too much like every other lousy blockbuster.
Trilogies seem to be the rule in Hollywood. Every blockbuster series aspires to be a great trilogy, and they all seem to stumble at least once. After creating the brilliantly character-centric Spider Man, and a worthy sequel which amped the action (the ...
Pros: Spider-Man 3 is an outstanding piece of action-fantasy cinema Cons: Spider-Man 3 remains strangely underwritten,
Continuing the immensely successful series of films, Spider-Man 3 presents a more emotional, and sometimes more chaotic look at the themes of the infamous web-slinger. Three years after the wildly popular second film broke all kind of theatrical ...
Pros: Action and special effects, some comic relief moments Cons: Too many competing stories; ego-bloating outerspace parasite; Sandman unnecessary even if special effects was good
While Spidey 1 and 2 succeeded in presenting the toils of an unappreciated hero who struggles to pay bills and find work, Spidey 3 bloats up into Spider-Man worship and the pitfalls of egomania. Returning characters include the following: ...
Pros: Feel good movie, good ending, and good closure to the Spiderman series. Cons: Plot too predictable. Scenes of the film repeated pass classic films.
Spiderman 3 is here and I can say that it was overrated. Although, I never read the comic, I can say that if you liked the first and the second Spiderman, then you will like Spiderman 3 to tie the knot to a well series done. I give the film 3.5 stars. ...
Pros: Topher Grace! And, it's funny seeing Peter Parker as a bad guy. Cons: A little dull in spots.
My husband and I snuck off to the theater early Friday morning to catch the opening matinee of Spider-man 3. We settled in to our seats waiting to be wowed...the film was over and we were still waiting. The film had all the makings of a good movie, but ...
Pros: Topher Grace plays a cocky and arrogant Eddie Brock, and pulls off Venom. Cons: Not enough villain time, and the conflict between Peter and Sandman ends to easily.
Well it's finally time for the third installment in the Spider-Man series, and it's a doozey. This time around Spidey is pitted against not one, not two, but TWO AND A HALF VILLAINS!!! The sandy yet slippery Flint Marko aka. Sandman, the viciously ...
Pros: Action, CGI is unreal since LOTR Cons: Who's fighting who? Why? What did it cost me?
Action, action, action. But hey, maybe some of the sub plots would have been better served in Spiderman 4. And what happened to the rippage from Spidey 1. We're looking more like Seabiscuit than Peter Parker. Overall, worth the dollar movies or drive in ...
Pros: Full of action.Has alot of big name star's In the film Cons: Storyline unoriginal

Pros: Good Action Sequences, Sudden surprises and shocks, more daylight scenes! Cons: FAR-FETCHED SCIFI, Ugly tooth monsters, nasty gooey stuff, lack of plot, emotions
This is a movie to watch especially if you have not seen SpiderMan-2 (but have read about the plot of Spidey 2). Of course, this movie has a lot of stretched science fiction weaved into it (yes, stretch and weave are used in purpose). The General ...
Pros: Spiderman is filled with action and is not long and drawn out. Cons: The end kept you wanting more.
Who would have 'thunk' it? Spiderman having a bad side? Well, when placed in the right situation at the right time, all of us are susceptible. The protagonist, Spiderman, who is a sweet, handsome, optimistic gentleman, changes roles as sometimes villain, ...
Pros: Fantasric Special Effects and Stunts. Tremendous acting as usual; from this pair. Cons: You get the feeling sometimes that it might have been a little rushed.
I went to see this film on the release date, it was packed to say the least. Not one seat spare, well maybe the odd one for the Munchies. I had already seen the first two films, which i was blown away by, The first and second were great, so i was ...
Spiderman 3: Web slinging action but not much else by faeryfreak ,May 09 '07
Pros: The action was good, and the movie flowed well for the most part Cons: There was not enough character development for the length of the movie.
Spiderman 3 had all the web-slinging action that you would expect, but left me throughly disappointed in the overall move. I found the movie itself quite slow in any new character development, and by the time they did develop on any characters the movie was almost over. I thought the action and fight scenes were well done, but I was bored through most of the rest.
I had read the reviews and thought the previews were very interesting for Spiderman 3. Though the previews showed most of the best scenes in the movie.
I thought the special effects and the action scenes of this movie were well done. There were also some great one liners in this movie.
I felt that the movie was to long to not have anymore character development then it did. I would love to have seen there be more detail to the villains and the back story that they touched on.
Pros: Great Acting, Prime Special Effects, Top Notch Story Cons: Possibly the final installment in the series,
Spider-man 3 featured an excellent blend of action, comedy and romance. Once again, Peter Parker swings his way into the hearts of viewers as he embarks on a grand and stylized action packed adventure. The film also adds a unique personal element to the characters. Overall, new villains, familiar friends and a great story make this blockbuster a must see for the summer.
Pros: Spiderman deals with three foes Cons: Excessive Violence, Very dark
While the movie holds fairly true to the Spiderman story line, this is definitely not the best of the three. The movie has a lot of excessive violence, more than I was expecting for a film that draws such a young audience. The story line itself was good and the character development was easy to follow. The scene where one character becomes the Sandman is excellent. Overall, though, the film did not live up to my expectations. It is very dark and negative at times.
Pros: Awesome special FX. Cons: Slow, boring moments. Parker becomes a big cry baby wimp.
I'll keep this short & simple: Half the film stays true to the old comic books, the other half skews a million miles away. The film has some extremely slow & boring spots that seem to last forever.
Peter Parker becomes a big wussy cry baby, enough to make a guy wanna puke. If you must see this, wait for it to come out on DVD.
Peter Parker/Superman Battles His Dark Side by mrbeachy ,May 15 '07
Pros: Didn't cost me anything, great stunts and action scenes. Cons: Its too intense and violent for young children.
I went to see Spiderman 3 earlier this evening. I did see the previous 2 movies and thought they were quite entertaining. In this segment, Peter Parker battles his dark side while fending off two other characters who also have powers, most of them evil. He also loses, and eventually wins back MJ.
tangled up in the web of extreme action by juiseemay ,Jun 20 '07
Pros: the action& excitment will have you at the edge of your seat Cons: i hate the fact that it ended rather quick and left me wanting more.
WOW WOW this movie is full of action!Never a dull moment.I really got my moneys worth with moview. The action and special effects in this movie were off the charts .I love the moral of the story how evil can take over tjust about any one but good always prevails. The sand man lives up to his name causing havoc while claiming his innocent.Venon was to easy to defeat.harry should have survied the movie because hes an important role of spiderman movies.I do however did enjoy this movie and let me tell my friend get there early if you desire a good seat.Evil spiderman was sexxy and cool.I want more of that.
is it me or is spiders getting faster? by xxxbrandyxxx0 ,May 15 '07

I mean he is not batmans buttler! anyway,...my bf is a big comic buff and he was mad b/c alot of the stuff was diffrent then the orginal story.
Pros: Action. Cons: I wanted Spider-Man to apologize to his girlfriend.
I watched this movie many times. I think this movie is the best of Spider-Man series, better action, better love story. We can see about humans desire.
I learned about every has choice,we can decide any time.
Pros: Thrilling, full of action Cons: Hard to follow, too packed
Like the first 2, special effects were great, and the thrilling story line was there. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype, and there were many stories happening within one, making it hard to follow.
