Pros: The cottages have been renovated and are in general clean. Cons: Terrible nagging management, unfriendly to families, not on the water, avoid at all costs.

Stay away from Sunapee Harbor Cottages
by wheelsx2 ,Aug 04 '08
Pros: - Looks nice from the outside.
- Lake Sunapee is really very nice. Cons: - Rude Inn keeper
- Not family friendly.
- Way over-priced for what it is.
My experience with Sunapee Harbor Cottages;
- Was not "lakeside"
- Not only not lakeside, but nearest swimming part of the lake was a 3/4 of a mile walk.
- wireless internet was free, but it did not work 6 out of 7 days of my visit.
- Was not family friendly. In fact, I had to apologize to my kids for the way that the inn keeper spoke to them. Their crime? Letting a screen door slam when leaving the cottage.
- Inn keeper showed up one night at 10:15 PM and wanted to talk to us .... with the police. Inn keeper said we "disrespected" her by asking her not to be so rude to us. To his credit, the policemen politely left after a while when he recognized the farcical nature of the situation.
Stay well away from this place unless you like being treated like dirt and giving your money away to experience it.
