Great TV, but THINC is worthless

by amorsell , Oct 29 '06
Pros: Great picture with HD, built in DVD is nice
Cons: THINC functionality is worthless, some software glitches

Don't waste you money on Toshiba
by daltman971 ,Apr 02 '07
Pros: This model has a clean look. For temporary use it works well.
Cons: This model has a defective DVD system. Toshiba has a defective customer service standard.
Toshiba has made a name for themselves in the consumer electronics industry. This is my main motivation for purchasing this combo LCD/DVD television. I bought it for my business back in August. 3 months later the DVD player stopped working. Using the manufacturers warrantee, I sent the TV to an authorized dealer for the repair. The replacement part was on back order for over 2 months. I was told that I should return the unit to the store I purchased it from for an exchange. The store I purchased the TV from will not honor this request from Toshiba, and Toshiba will not replace the unit for me. This process has taken another 2 months. None the less I have been without a working TV for the more time that I owned a working TV. The Kicker is that I also purchased the 37 inch model for my office. This one broke two months ago. I am considering this a loss.
