Community Marketer
Drive growth and satisfaction in both Epinions.com customer bases: reviewers and online shoppers. Lead market research, provide data and input for Product, and execute promotional campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new reviewer acquisition through onsite promotions, prize giveaways, and targeted offsite presence within other online communities, direct 1:1 recruitment of promising writers, and a program to recognize and reward promising new members.
- Keep constant "community buzz" alive by advancing a regular calendar of events and with targeted email campaigns. Encourage member productivity with promotional events.
- Be a "face" within the community. Attend live and virtual member relations events.
- Continuously research reviewer base as well as our online shopping visitors and provide Product Managers with analysis and input on what product development priorities to set in order to satisfy our customers.
- Generate promotional merchandising content around seasonal topics to help keep our site fresh and relevant for online shoppers all year long.
Job Requirements:
- 1 year professional or 5 years personal experience with online communities a plus.
- Bachelor's degree.

Product Manager, Community Care
Manage morale and productivity of the core Epinions.com online community of writers. Communicate between members and staff, safeguard member interests within the company, design community-facing features, and continuously improve internal Community Care policies and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Community Care program for Epinions, evaluating and improving upon everything we do to keep members happy and productive. Own site usage policy and rules.
- Be a "face" within the community, participating in site activity and communicating with members via email, message boards, site blog, and in person at periodic member relations events.
- Be the voice of the community within Product, understanding and representing their needs in our product development process.
- Gather and define requirements for new features needed to maintain and improve member morale and productivity. Write basic specs for engineers to work from while building these new site features.
- Seek out inefficiencies and pain points within Community Care internal tasks and processes, continuously reducing our manual workload and evaluating the cost/benefit of our Community Care programs.
Job Requirements:
- 1 year professional experience working to design new website features or improve usability, either in a Design or Product Management role.
- 2 years professional experience working with online communities.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Writing or editorial experience a plus.
