This is the easiest to use, most up-to-date virus protection there is, in my opinion AND it's 100% free. Can't beat it with a stick! I have a Norton Antivirus program that came with my computer but if I want that to stay current, I have to keep checking for updates. With House Call, I just go to the trendvirus site (at www.antivirus.com), click on the little ambulance for "House Call" and I get a complete check up. And since it may take a while (mine usually takes 30 minutes or so to do the full check-up) for House Call to complete, it's nice that you can still go surfing around while your computer is at the doctor.
It does take a bit of time to load the thing but it's really worth waiting for. It will check any and all drives that you specify. The really wonderful thing about House Call is that it is SO up-to-date. Any new "illness" that's out there lurking, House Call seems to be aware of. I remember when the Melissa virus was around. I went to the site that very day that I heard about it and sure enough, House Call could detect it.
Not only does it diagnose different ailments, it also "cures" them (if they ARE curable) on the spot. Plus, there's a handy little section where you can find definitions/explanations for all kinds of various viruses, Trojan Horses, etc. I learned an awful lot from this site.
I'm constantly recommending House Call to my friends and I think it's a "medical" necessity for ANY computer.
