| crazy-c's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS B1000 |
My family recently purchased the Dell Dimension XPS B1000 computer and it is a beautiful computer. I used to own a Gateway Pentium 133MHz computer. It was a good computer for its time, but it has now faded away. It was more than past time to upgrade. So, we went out and got the top of the line.
The computer has 128MB of RDRAM; 30GB hard drive; 19" monitor; 32MB video card; 8x/4x/32x c.d. recorder; DVD player; surround sound speakers, and a list of other goodies. All of this put the sticker price around $2900. Which is a decent price.
One of the main reasons that we chose Dell over the other companies is clear. Dell is a very respectable and good quality computer company. The layout of the computer chassis is a tower which is excellent for ventilation. And with these new Pentium 3 processors you need good ventilation, because they get hot.
The video on this computer is exceptional. I'm not a big digital photography person, I'm into the regular photography, black and white mainly, but this computer displays pictures that are identical to develop photography. The DVD movies are awesome on the 19" monitor and with the surround sound speakers.
I would recommend this computer to anyone, and if this model is out of your price range I would recommend virtually any other Dell desktop system out there.
