| cmorrow's Full Review: Dell Dimension L500c |
I bought this computer because I wanted a reliable desktop PC from the most respected vendor out there. PC Magazine among others rated Dell #1 among PC producers. For these reasons I purchased this Pentium III computer.
So far (I bought it 2+ weeks ago) I like the speed, the support, the modem, the speakers and even the small tower. However, it has had random crashes and problems almost daily. I feel that they are more Microsoft related but I am not as please as I was hoping I would be. I expected everything to work splendidly. However I did find their phone support to be very helpful. The fact that someone will come to my house and replace any malfunctioning hardware is a great benefit. Also my shutdown issue I was having was resolved quickly thanks to an 11pm phone call I made to Dell.
In conclusion, it is still a little early to tell but I expect great things from this pc. Dell's website was useful when ordering and speedy when shipping. I also recommend checking with a live person about your order because I called to ask why delivery would take 20+ days and this nice woman told me that the hard drive I ordered was out of stock. She recommended some changes which I did and my computer became cheaper and arrived in 6 days.
