This is my first time using a Cd burner and I was recommended this model because it's cheap. But i find it extremely unfriendly and I went through great pain just to set it up on my Mac, let alone using it to burn CD's. I burn CD's that are only readable by the CD-RW. And I've wasted so many CD's that I just stop doing it. It uses Toast as the software but i find it extremely unfriendly either. I went onto Adaptec's site and find no help either. Overall the combination is terrible!! So don't even think about it!

To add on to the agony, I called up S&F's tech support line tyring to get help. They are extremely unhelpful. After much explanation they were willing to change the one I have. I packed it and ready for pick up. 3 weeks later they called me and said they are going to charge my credit card because they didn't receive the CD-RW yet. I spoke with them for long time and told them it's not my fault because the package is ready for pick up but UPS never picked it up. They assured me it will be settled and my credit card will not be charged. 4 weeks later another lady called me up again and told me I have to send in the drive myself because they are having problem with UPS....what kind of customer service is this?
I hate to argue with people but they have been offering poor quality customer service, so bad that I have been extremely frustrated with the whole experience. Right now it's already 4 months yet it's still not settled!!! I'd recommend anybody who is thinking about getting this CD-RW think again seriously.
