great place for value pcs

Atlas computer at (http://buy-atlas.com/) is a custom computer maker. Their computers are cheap and come with good hardware. Their reliability is average and the support is average. They have many different lines of computers based on both Intel and Amd processors. They have won countless awards for their value pcs from cnet, computer shopper, and other computer critics.
Atlas computer has computers equipped with state of the art hardware at prices that are unbeatable. It is amazing how they stay in business offering such great products at these amazing prices. Most of the parts they use are "brand name" parts from reputable companies such as Nvidia, Yamaha, and Motorola. However like all companies they are not prefect and they do mix in some "no name brand" parts in order to lower the price. Another problem is that their systems are not fully customizable. Although they have hundreds of models of computers you can't customize it exactly the way you want it. At least not on their website. Another problem is their software bundle. Microsoft Windows 98 2nd Edition and Lotus Smartsuite Millennium Software are the only software you get. Windows comes standard on all pcs and few people still use Lotus smartsuite, which could mean compatiblity problems.
Overall they are a great computer company for people looking for a "value" pc. Although their prices rock, I personally would not recommend "hard core" computer users to this company since you can't really customize your computer. I also wouldn't recommend new computer users since the software bundles is bad. But if your looking for a bargain second or third pc and you already have software then your looking at the right place.
