Hey Kathi, I'm really happy to have helped you to find a good solution to the less obvious dangers of the 'net. This is what Epinions is all about for me.
Safe surfing, Kathi.

Hiya! Just wanted to let you know that your reviews have led me to install ZoneAlarm on my machines at home and I couldn't be happier!! Thanks so much for recommending this! Your review was extremely helpful.

I'd recommend this firewall (ZoneAlarm 2.0) right away. I ran a lot of heavy tests on this firewall for a friend with a fixed IP address, and so far as my main scanners were concerned his computer didn't even exist never mind have a loophole.
Its better than even Conseal, which I used to recommend, in that it is a piece of cake to install, simple to use, and every bit as secure.
As for buying it, thats the best news of all. ZoneAlarm 2.0 is completely free!

Replace my threesome? (Reply to this comment)

Okay, you've convinced me, quite easily, that you know MUCH more than I do about firewalls. Living in an area with a documented, convicted hacker, I'm extremely concerned about this issue. So, do you have an opinion on what the best program(s) of all are? If so, post it please, I'm going to buy what you recommend. Hopefully, it will replace the THREE programs I'm running now with one that is MUCH less cumbersome. Looking forward to your next review. BTW, welcome to my WOT.

This firewall is a real bargain - top quality yet zero cost. Better still it is incredibly easy to use - highly intuitive. Hmmmm an intuitive interface to a firewall? ... next they'll allow anyone to use the internet :)
