CHECK out the company you are keeping BEFORE you buy!
If you are interested in a new computer let me direct you to the company that not only sold me on their computers but sold me on their service as well. I have found their tech support services to be fast and friendly.

I bought a Compaq 5724 and honestly it would make me blush just to tell you what all this machine can do. I'll try though. It has 96 mgb SDRam, 500mHz processor, 12 gig. HD, DVDRom, Internal Zip drive, 3.5 floppy drive, and capacity to add a whole lot more. My biggest problem now is what to do next!!! The movies it plays are fantastic.
The true test really is this: How well does a company stand behind what they sell?
Honestly, I had a little trouble with it and while it was in the service center the technician telephoned me direct just to inform me of what the progress was on my machine.
Now you are probably thinking that, well, he was probably told to do that by someone, huh? Before we got off the phone he gave me his number where he could be reached if I had any more questions, but that told me right there they cared.
Unfortunately, the project was sidelined by the holidays and I didn't get it back until January 3, 2000. So I got it home and loaded up one of my super games and it all sat there and froze on me. Wow, I called tech support and they directed me to a local dealer that could help fix the problem.
Next day I took it to the service center and after I returned home one of the supervisors with Compaq called me from Canada. He insured me they would get it up and running and in NEW condition. Well, they did and I got it all back.
It is just like new! Actually better than new because the supervisor at Compaq called and stated he wanted to do a "little" something special for me. Two days later I received a stick of SDRam (PC 100 Memory-128 megabytes) from Compaq valued at over $350.00 for all my trouble. Ram speeds up your computer and makes it hard to be humble...except where Compaq is concerned for which I am very grateful and always will be.
