| sage420's Full Review: Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart p1000 Ink-jet Printer |
If you are willing to put out a good chunk of change for a photo printer the HP Photosmart series would be a great choice.
For all of you digital camera enthusiasts, the photo smart supports both compact flash and smart media cards, meaning that almost everyone that own a digital camera can print fullsize, half-size, wallet size, and index prints with out even touching the computer, how is that for conveniece?
The HP works great for computer generated or edit graphics as well. With the PhotoRetIII technology by Kodak, you can be sure that the textures and shading will turnout as accurately as possible.
HP also preserved their excellent ink economy in this model. A $25 cartridge of black ink still lasts about 1000 pages and the color is $34 for around 500 prints. That is a hell of a lot cheaper than its Lexmark and Epson photoprinter counterparts.
The P1000 also is great for printing volumes because it is as durrable as any other HP inkjet and boasts high printrates in black and color.
I recommend this unit to any serious free-lance photographer or digital camera enthusiast.
