I always thought I'd end up with a desktop for college use. This thought stayed with me until I saw a toshiba tecra 8100 ad on PC magazine. Whoah this machine looks sleek I thought. So my mind was set to get the tecra. I went online everyday religiously searching for the best price, ebay, ubid, liquidprice etc.. you name it, I've probably been there.
I almost made my purchase for a tecra 8100 pIII 650, until I read this review by PC magazine on the ACER 602TER. The beauty received the best reviews by the editors. The lure of 128Mb, CD-RW drive, great graphics, sound card and the sub $2500 pricetag made it an unresistable offer.
I bought it instantly online(the best way) and now received it just today. So far it's great, the speed is expected, display is terrific and the sound from the speakers is quite good. Really this is the best laptop I could get with what I intend to spend. A real winner that won't break your bank. I'm looking forward to using this beauty till I graduate and I see a great time ahead.
