Pros: Fun and easy to use, send video emails, and video chat.
Cons: picture quality isn't perfect but it works.
The Bottom Line: This cam is an excellent purchase and will be lots of fun for the entire family. It is a great way to keep in touch with family.

When I purchased my new computer I had to have a web cam. I had always wanted a web cam but my other computer was just too slow to really handle it well so I hadn't bought one. The first accessory I bought for my new computer was a web cam and I happened to get it while it was on sale. I paid $35.99 for the cam but I get $25 back in rebates so it actually cost me $10.99.
I have the logitech webcam express. It is shaped like an eye ball and sits inside a triangular base. You can place it on top of the pc or on a table top. It can also be taken down and moved around. Of course you can't go too far because it has to be connected to a USB port. There is a ring around the lens in front that is used for focusing and when you open the software you will be able to adjust the color, brightness, contrast and size of your image.
With this cam you can set up a special broadcast where you share live videos with others and you are able to do video chat. But what I like most about the cam is that I can tape videos of the children and send them to my parents through email. You can also take still photos. The quality of photos is a bit better than the videos but neither are perfect. Still it is great for what I need it for. I don't need a crystal clear imagine in order to show my mom and dad a video of their grandchildren and in video chat people can see me clear enough that they know what I look like. It isn't a bad quality image, just not perfect.
It is lots of fun making videos and photos with this cam.
