The Bottom Line Its from the heart, can last forever.
Valentine's Day.. For some it means a beautiful day that is to be shared with your spouse, partner or family and friends. But for others it can be a hard time trying to figure out what to get for that special someone.
Well I will try to give some of the ideas and where to learn more of the homemade products from your heart and soul. To me a handmade gift is the most wonderful thing that can be given. Although I cherish every gift the same, the ones made from the hands of the person is something that will always be unique.
Let me tell you though, sometimes I find it hard to pick something out for my husband. You can only own so many tools, then you have everything. Cologne is so easy and something that will only get used. Fishing gear is something that is a favorite of my husbands, but you can only own so much then you have all that you want.
I got tired of having to shop for certain items that I wanted to give but store never had.
I make a variety of things, alot of my ideas come off of home improvement shows on cable. HGTV being my favorite and thier website is super helpful.
Crafts stores have tons of easy, cheap and beautiful ideas that the entire family can make. Memory books are a huge hit and its time stopped in those photos you took when you baby first walked, rode his/her bike. First day of school.
I still find coupons book a good thing to give. Maybe for a close friend/family member with kids, give them a coupon for a night of babysitting, or a long distant family/friend give them a small decorated box with a phone card so you can keep in touch.
I guarantee that if you visit the craft store you will not leave empty handed. Or not without at least 4 or more ideas.
Alot of ideas laying around in those closets and basements out there jsut waiting to be put together and reassembled to be given with love.
Dad's like to get things made from thier kids too. I know I do. So help the kids make dad/mom something. Add some of thier own art, a picture of themselves. Let them add thier own touches. This is something that can be kept forever. And when they are old and gray, they can pull that gift out and say." Remember when you made that?" It's a feeling that me and my grandmother shares quite often.
