nordstrom.com allows me to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale without waiting in lines, an especially appreciated asset when the kids would rather be in the pool than shopping at the mall. This site offers excellent variety, and the site is easy to navigate, allowing me to arrive at the department I want rapidly and browse the merchandise I desire. The images are crisp and clear, and the descriptions precise, giving me good visuals of the possible purchases. After loading items into my shopping bag, the checkout process is rapid. I receive emails that confirm my order and shipment thereof. My orders arrive in a timely manner (approximately 4-5 days), they're accurate, and the charges are correct. This merchant has impeccable customer service. Returns have never been challenged. With unpredictable traffic patterns in the Pacific Northwest, and the closest storefront being approximately 30 minutes away, nordstrom.com allows me to conveniently patronize this store.

If you are familiar with the brick and mortar version of Nordstrom, than you are aware that this is an upscale department store, mostly known for designer apparel, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, and accessories for women, men and children. This merchant stands behind everything they sell, offers friendly service, and truly has a good variety of brand name representation.
I have long liked shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and fully confess that it is a sale we attempt to visit during back-to-school shopping. One challenge is that during the end of July (early August) my daughter's aren't exactly ready to hit the malls. Upon sale start, I make a stop at the Nordstrom Online Store and place an order. If anything doesn't properly fit, I am able to ship it back or return it to the store. No challenges! I am able to get the Skechers that my youngest daughter likes, the Roxy beanie & scarf for my oldest daughter, the MAC brush set for myself, and other desired Anniversary Sale items, all while setting in my Pj's, sipping a diet Coke, never having to battle traffic or crowds. It is important to note that I don't feel the online site offers as much as the storefront, but I have always been able to purchase the desired shoes.
Originally I patronized nordstrom.com for cosmetic purchases. They have a liberal return policy, allowing you to experiment, but return if there are any challenges. I suggest, if at all possible, visiting a storefront for proper shade presentation. I have yet to patronize an online store that offers true to shade swatches. But as mentioned, the return policy is liberal so even if you can't make it into a store, you can risk it here.
I highly recommend nordstrom.com!
