| Naomi7835's Full Review: Scrubbing Bubbles II Lemon Antibacterial Aerosol ... |
I love some of the great smelling S.C Johnson cleaning products that are available now. The citrus, lemon and orange scents are all delightful smelling. These are the kind of cleaners that I like to purchase now. I've tried many different cleaning products during the past years. Most of these cleaning products worked well for cleaning my home, but I just can't tolerate some of the overpowering odors that most of them have, especially when I have to clean my bathroom. My bathroom is very small and some of the odors always seem to take my breathe away, even if I keep the window open for ventilation. And the smell of most cleaners seem to linger on and on even after I've finished cleaning.
Then I found this Scrubbing Bubbles II Lemon Antibacterial Aerosol Bathroom Cleaner at my supermarket for $2.89. I usually use spray cleaners and don't usually buy Aerosol cleaning products, but when I saw the word LEMON on the can I just had to buy it.
When I got home and removed the cap, I could smell the lemon scent. I knew then that I was going to like this Scrubbing Bubbles lemon bathroom cleaner for my bathroom.
A few things about the cleaner:
Size----The Scrubbing Bubbles Lemon Bathroom Cleaner comes in a easy to spray large 25oz Yellow and Blue aerosol can.
It sprays out a white foam solution which doesn't have to be scrubbed and it has a very pleasing lemon scent.
This Scrubbing Bubbles Lemon Aerosol Bathroom cleaner does not contain any phosphates.
Surfaces it will clean:
Tubs
Bathroom sinks
Shower stalls
Ceramic Tile
Stainless steel and chrome fixtures
Fiberglass
Porcelain Surfaces
The only surfaces that should not be cleaned with the Scrubbing Bubbles Aerosol Lemon Bathroom Cleaner are Brass, Acrylic or Marble surfaces.
What does it remove?
The Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner will remove everyday soap and scum and hard water stains.
It will kill common germs like Staph and Streptococcus germs.
It also controls mold and mildew growth.
Using:
Before using, it's necessary to shake the aerosol can well before using. I even give it several shakes while I'm spraying it also.
After shaking it well I removed the cap. On the top of the rim there is a small red arrow which has to be aligned up with the spray button.
Next I sprayed it 6 to 8 inches from the surface of my ceramic tile and all around my bathtub. I also made sure that I did open my bathroom window for ventilation. Even though I loved the lemon scent, it's still a good idea to ventilate the room while you're spraying, at least for a little while.
Allow time for the foam to penetrate. The time depends on how bad of a soap build up you have. Then the surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth or a sponge. It's not even necessary to wipe any surface dry. I don't use a sponge, because I purchased a toilet brush, which I use only on my tub, to swish down my tile and tub surfaces. A couple of swishes, along with a water rinse and my surfaces are clean, sanitized and shiny. By using the brush this way I keep my hands free of any cleaning solutions.
Above my tile over the tub, I have a window. And the window does get a lot of soap scum on it from taking showers. I just sprayed some of the foam on it, and the soap scum wiped off very easy with a sponge.
I've even sprayed the Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom cleaner on the inside of my plastic shower curtain liner. Sometimes my husband doesn't pull the shower curtain open enough after showering, and the inside of the shower liner doesn't dry well, which then makes mildew in some places on the liner. So every once in a while I will spray the liner, let it set a while and then rinse it off. I don't even have to scrub it. Any mildew that has accumulated on the shower curtain liner just rinses right off.
If you feel that your tub needs a disinfecting, then reapply the foam spray on the entire surface and wait for 10 minutes before wiping it down.
Sometimes I get a little build-up of mildew on my grout in the corner of my tub where the tub and tile meet. This is where a little water seems to set after a shower. So when I see new mildew growth starting to appear, I will re-apply the foam to this area. This way I can keep the mildew from building up.
I also have chrome fixtures in my tub and in my bathroom sink. When I clean them, I also make sure to rinse them well and then dry them off after cleaning them. The Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom cleaner has a very gentle foaming action and will not scratch any surface especially, chrome or stainless steel. And my faucets always look so nice and shiny since I've used the Scrubbing Bubbles Lemon Bathroom Cleaner.
Since I've been using the Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner, I don't have to wipe my ceramic tile or tub dry, and I've noticed that I don't get any dried water spots or clouding on my ceramic tiles or my tub. Everything comes out clean and shiny.
Ingredients:
Dimethyl benzyl ammonium
Dimethyl ethybenzl ammonium chlorides
Inert ingredients
Contains a solution of detergents, cleaners, chelants and perfume.
Storing:
As I've said many times in my reviews before, Cleaners should always be stored up high and out of young children's reach.
The Scrubbing Bubbles aerosol can should never be stored near any heat or open flame, which could cause bursting.
Disposal:
When I'm finished with a aerosol can, I cap it and place it in a bag and dispose of it in my trash can.
My final Recommendation
I love the Lemon Scent of the Scrubbing Bubbles II Lemon Aerosol Bathroom Cleaner. The scent doesn't take my breathe away like some other cleaners that I've used in the past.
I really like Scrubbing Bubbles products, like the Toilet Bowl Citrus Tablets that I previously wrote about, and now this Scrubbing Bubbles Lemon Aerosol Bathroom Cleaner. I don't worry about germs, mildew, dirt or soap scum any more. Like I said before, the lemon smell doesn't take my breathe away, and I can just sit back and let the Scrubbing Bubbles foam do all of my dirty work for me each and every time I decide to clean my bathroom.
As usual thanks for reading!
