Magic Goo Gone is one of those products that consumers will dance a jig for while jumping through flaming hoops!! This is that type of amazing cleaning product that I know my mom would have loved to have when she was raising her five children! Once you try Magic Goo Gone you will do nearly anything to keep it!
For years, people, especially children, have been making messes with super sticky nasties that threaten to ruin many indoor and outdoor household items, including wooden tabletops, dressers, clothing, mirrors; nearly every surface!
~~What is it GOOd For?~~
Magic Goo Gone is good for removing many of life's little messes and safely, too. It is a combination of powerful cleaning agents manufactured specifically for removing sticky spills or substances that leave an adhesive residue. This slightly oily product is also very good for removing these and other substances without causing any damage, while doing an exceptional job!
~~What Nasties Will it Remove~~
If you've ever had a creative toddler start coloring with crayons in a coloring book but the artwork finishes up on the front and sides of the refrigerator, on the mirrors, walls and kitchen tile floor, then Magic Goo Gone is the perfect product for you! It also removes, paint that hasn't dried yet and colored markers that aren't of the permanent kind.
My two granddaughters have scuffed up my bathroom floor tiles with their little shoe heels and they have pulled out every inch of tape from my tape dispensers carefully taping their Lego pieces to my dining room table! The horrible black scuff marks wiped off amazingly clean with no effort and so did the sticky residue from the tape!
If you are an environmentally conscience consumer like I am, you will be delighted and relieved to know that Magic Goo Gone has very little impact on our environment! That is because the ingredients will end up diffusing into the air. They are biodegradable and won't harm plant, marine and animal life. Be sure to recycle the plastic bottle that it comes in for added environmental protection.
What I know you will truly love about this fantastic sticky substance remover is that it is safe to use on virtually any surface. Use it to clean bubble gum out of your carpets and area rugs! Use it to get that candle wax that accidentally dripped on your couch while moving the candle stick holder during a power outage! Have no fear that the upholstery will not be ruined.
I was a bit worried that Magic Goo Gone might be damaging to my clothing or my curtains and drapes, but, fear not, Magic Goo Gone is even safe on these materials! On my favorite light blue sweatshirt, I tried removing a piece of sucking candy that was stuck on for more than a day. The candy easily pulled free from my sweatshirt, but even after washing in soap and water, a bit of stickiness remained. I applied Magic Goo Gone to this one little spot, and washed my sweatshirt again. The spot was magically clean!
Although Magic Goo Gone has somewhat of a lemony fragrance, I didn't find the fragrance all that appealing. I never use it long enough to be overly concerned with the smell. However, this product should be used in well ventilated areas either with windows and doors opened or a fan blowing. Some of the petroleum compounds may be hazardous to breathe into the lungs, although I have never had any coughing or breathing difficulties while using Magic Goo Gone.
It is important to read all directions carefully and to heed the manufacturer's printed warnings on the labels to ensure safety while using. Do not use this product near heat, flames and fire because it is flammable.
~Magical Goo Gone for Other Uses~
tile ~ glass ~ grills ~ appliances ~ vinyl ~ wood ~ boats ~ fiberglass
~Magical Goo Gone for Other Substances~
oil and kitchen greases ~ blood ~ soap scum ~ asphalt ~ makeup ~ duct tape ~ bicycle chain grease
I originally purchased Magic Goo Gone from Ames department store in the eight ounce plastic bottle. I still have the same bottle many months later. I had always wanted to try those advertised infomercial products and Ames often sold products that were advertised on television.
I needed a strong product with super magical ingredients to remove a sticky substance from the hood of my car. A Wal-Mart mechanic said that the nasty substance was tree sap that had dripped onto my car. Who knew! I was pleased with the way the sap came right off so I proceeded to successfully remove some residue that was left on my windshield after removing my old registration sticker and to also remove stickiness from an old political election bumper sticker. I found using Magic Goo Gone effortless.
My experience with this product has been great for most of my needs. My husband, however, was not too thrilled with the amount of elbow grease that he had to use to remove some tar from his new car's bumper. He said that he had to work just a little too hard for a product that claimed to work fast and easy.
~~Final Thoughts and Recommendations~~
Some substances did not completely become clean after using this liquid, so I cannot, therefore, fully give my recommendation of Magic Goo Gone for removal of every substance listed in the manufacturer's claims. I will state for the record, that the price is affordable and that the product will last a long time if used sparingly. Not much of this interesting liquid is actually needed to perform most gooey removals.
I will also note that I did not have cause to try this product on blood stains or on any kitchen appliances other than my fridge doors.
My recommendation is to buy it and try it. If you are not fully satisfied with the great cleaning and removal properties of Magic Goo Gone, well, send it back for a full refund.
For additional details on refund policies or other questions take a look at the website who manufactures Magic Goo Gone at www.GooGone.com, of course.
I am happy with the fact that my mirrors are no longer scribbled on with colored markers and that's good enough for my purposes. If the eight ounce size is too large, I suggest buying the one, or four ounce size and working your way up to eight ounces.
If eight ounces is not enough product for you, then by all means purchase the thirty-two ounce or even the drum, for those really big clean-up jobs!
You will more than likely be as satisfied as most consumers are with the exceptional mess removal properties of Magic Goo Gone.
