Ordered Sony TRV 250 on 10-02/03. Received a call on 10-03/03 from vendor rep., nature of which was to hawk accessories for ordered camera. This seems to be the recent M.O. for many "low price" vendors. Unacceptable in my opinion.
**This is an update, related to my responding commentary of the review of the original posting.
Today, Sunday 10-05/03 on or about 15:15, I received a call from a representative of Click for Digital. The gist of the call pertained to the aforementioned commentary, in point, to the statement regarding the delay of shipment of the ordered item. I will at this time admit that the statement was not accurate and should have included the modifier "possibly" before the word "delays", as at the time the commentary was posted, the actual timeline of shipping could not yet be truly confirmed. In that, I issue an apology to Click for Digital.
The CfD(abrev. hereafter for Click for Digital) rep additionally indicated that the placed order would not have been delayed had I not been able to respond to the placed/received phone call on the day that it had occurred, thus no delay in shipment would have been experienced. To this, I can only accept his given assurance and explanation. Also, the nature of the order following call was explained as a "security and customer service" courtesy, to confirm the order and provide the customer with possibly unthought-of options realted to their purchase(please forgive the paraphrasing of the conversation). However, a follow-up review of the Policy and Security/Privacy pages of the CfD web site, lists no explanation or description as was provided, indicating the nature of the order following call, as was provided to me on 10-05/03. Nor was such information received within the body of any emails that were received from CfD to date.
In closing, with 20 plus years of direct and indirect customer and technical support experience, I can appreciate the nature and reason for the call placed by the CfD rep on 10-05/03. While the rep was professional in cadence and manner, the presentation was somewhat defensive. My posted "opinion" relating to the follow-up call, not including the commentary on shipping, stands as posted.
