The projector is sleek and easy to operate. All serviceable/replaceable items are accessible and easily serviced. The sleek design makes this product a welcome addition to our audiovisual repertoire.
When preparing to stow the unit, operators pressed the button for the latch to release the lens and light assembly extension. The assembly fell forward with the focus lens ring almost hitting the table. The lens assembly stows with the assembly arm folding forward and the lens and light assembly folding backward. With the lens assembly deployed in the use position, releasing the focus lens for storage will see it free fall forward unless it is manually restrained. The entire projection assembly is in this deployable lens assembly unit; focus lens, magnifying lens, mirror, cooling fan and motor, and the high intensity light bulb. This makes the unit somewhat top heavy. The release latch releases instantaneously with no resistance to slow the fall of the assembly. The operator must have their hand on the assembly when they release the assembly for stowing (caution: check for hot surfaces). The "twelve o'clock" position on the focus lens on both projectors had witness marks indicating where they had fallen and struck a surface such as a table top.
