Tired of rainbow everything when shopping at a gay merchant? Looking for a place that has gay sensibilities but is more than magnets and cards? Kleptomaniac just might be your store.
Offering varied merchandise for the discerning gay and lesbian market, Kleptomaniac has enough selection and choices to make just about any shopper happy. From clothing to videos to jewelry and back again to calendars, gifts and music, Kleptomaniac probably has something that you want to buy.
Items are high quality and prices run anywhere from a few dollars for small items to a hundred or so for some of the higher priced items.
Unlike some gay merchants site, Kleptomaniac has little of the kitsch that fills many of their stockroom shelves – really, just how many rainbow bears do we all really need? Yes, some of the clothing, specifically the t-shirts and tank tops, do offer various slogans and graphics that are available at sites like 10% Productions, but in general, the merchandise is less like that and more something the average gay shopper would be interested in wearing or using everyday. These include jeans from various designers, watch collections, baseball hats, underwear, skin care products and more.

Kleptomaniac offers a wide selection of merchandise. This includes clothing, jewelry, skin care and health products, books, videos, housewares, music, posters and calendars. Clothing runs the gambit from basic t-shirts and tank tops to designer jeans, jackets and tops. Jewelry includes a varied selection of rings, some rainbow themed jewelry (back devil, back – I don’t want to see anymore freedom rings), awesome watches from the likes of Kenneth Cole and other designers.
Merchandise inventory is kept updated and fresh with new items being added to the inventory all the time. The music and video selections are kept very current and you can bet that as soon as a movie is available, you will be able to find it on Kleptomaniac.
Prices are competitive, if not cheaper than most other gay and lesbian stores. In addition to the competitive prices, sales are frequent on the site with savings up to 50% on some items.
Shopping is easy at Kleptomaniac. Browse through the various sections of the site, which is broken down by the merchandise available (aka, clothing, jewelry, household goods, etc..). As you find items that interest you, place them in your shopping cart by choosing quantity, size and color (if applicable) and then when you are finished shopping, simply check out your shopping cart and check out. If you are a current member, Kleptomaniac keeps your shipping and billing information so you don’t need to fill it out each time. For new shoppers, you will be required to fill out shipping and billing information and then will be given an ID to use for future purchases so that you don’t need to re-enter that information.
Shipping options are like most other online merchants – standard, express and overnight. Standard shipping is just $5.95 for your order.
Once you order, Kleptomaniac sends you an email confirmation with tracking information. Once the order ships, tracking information for the package is provided.

My Experiences
I have purchased several different items of clothing and a few gifts for friends from Kleptomaniac. Each time the process has been foolproof and easy. The order was shipped promptly and the delivery arrived in the time frame that was given in my original confirmation email. The items arrived without damage and as were advertised on the site. Each order I have made, I have been satisfied with and am happy to continue shopping at Kleptomaniac.
I like the collection of hip and current merchandise that Kleptomaniac offers. I’ve grown tired of gay and lesbian merchants that seem to focus simply on pride and rainbow related items. I mean, do I really want a rainbow shower curtain or give my friends their umpteenth rainbow calendar? I think now and because of the variety of products offered at Kleptomaniac, I can always find something interesting for a gift, or useful for myself.
