Cool Movies to Check Out in the Video Store

The Bottom Line These movies are all worth renting on some week night when you have nothing else to do, so give them a shot.
The following is a list of movies that are by all means pretty sweet. If you don't agree well that's tough because these are cult movies, which means I get about as much lisence as I want. Also they are in no particular order.
American Psycho- Fabulous satire of 1980s pop culture. Well cast, and hysterical at times because of the incongruity of certain scenes. Defintiely Funny.
Major League- Popular amongst almost all baseball guys. Funny slapstick at times with great one liners that leave the viewer with an overall good feeling.
Miller's Crossing- Great Gangster film. Lots of suspense. Calssic.
Dr. Strangelove- A Kubrick film. Crazy satire of the Cold War era. Wonderfully acted out and a terrfically scripted.
Ferris Buhler's Day Off- Not so much a cult classic as a great overall movie that fits in the genre of 1980 classic movies. Great for kids and parents alike. Has a good overall feeling to it.
Dumb and Dumber- Just ridiculously funny, so many one liners...well just read the script, it's almost too much. I could watch this one at least 100 more times.
American Beauty- Yeah, definitely has mainstream appeal, which is okay, but just magnificent. Has a great substance to it. Great elements of Romanticisim combined with moment of great irony and biting satire. Awesome Cast.
The Talented Mr. Ripley- This movie has an overall nice feel to it. Beautifully shot. Great plot twists that keep the viewer interested. Good Cast. Nice ending. Another intresting period piece.
Bullet- A classic. Doesn't get much better in terms of overall coolness. Great scenes, namely the car chase through San Francisco. Nice Plot twists, good ending. A very solid movie overall.
Dude, Where's My Car- This movie is great. Go into it with no expectations and appreciate how absolutely brutal it is and it is awesome. Just give it a chance.
