Pros: Many standard features, especially side air bags.
Cons: Foul smell when you first turn on air conditioner (same as in the Accent)
The Bottom Line: Aside from the fact that it drives beautifully, looks classy and the great warranty, the front and side air bags give me a greater sense of security.
I had a black 2 door 2003 Hyundai Accent for about a year, which I loved, but it was just a little too small. I upgraded to a black 4 door 2004 Elantra and love it even more! Everyone knows about the great warranty that Hyundai provides, so that is a given. The standard side air bags were especially appealing to a mother whose teenage son will probably be driving the car as much as I do. I've never owned a car with a remote car lock and it is like having a new toy. When I go out to a parking lot and start heading toward where I think I parked my car and see dozens of other black cars that look just like mine, it's nice to be able to push a button and see the flashing light that helps me find my car! The remote car lock gives me a greater sense of security. I am not certain exactly what was standard but this car has power windows, power locks, cd player, inside trunk and gas cap release, rear defroster, tinted windows. The car drives so smoothly and quietly, great gas mileage and has a classy look. I am very pleased with it.
