I think the kitchen in my home is a room that gets messy faster then any other room in the house. Even though my children are all grown up, I still have grand children at my house daily, especially during the summer months when I do most of the baby sitting. I have a 12 year old grand son and occasionally 3 grand daughters that I watch during school vacation. I have the 12 year old every day until 4:30 in the afternoon when my daughter picks him up after work.
He has a super appetite and is in the fridge constantly. Whether it's for a drink of juice, something to nibble on, or a piece of fruit to snack on. At times I usually have to clean up the counter or even the floor at times, because he ends up spilling the juice while pouring it into a glass.
This is where my Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner, Citrus Scent comes in handy. I just take a paper towel and soak up the juice from the counter. Then I spray the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner on the counter. And you know how some juices will leave behind a sticky residue if it's not properly cleaned. Well the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner left the counter clean, with no sticky residue at all.
Although I do use Lysol Sanitizing Wipes at times for some small kitchen cleaning jobs. But I do use the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner the most. At least once a week I like to spray the Lysol Cleaner on all of my appliances, my sink and counters to just do a more thorough cleaning.
I've always used the Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner, and when I saw the Citrus Scent Lysol Kitchen Cleaner, I new I would like it just as well. I'm sure I'm like everyone else and don't really get enjoyment doing general kitchen cleaning. We know that it's a must because of certain bacteria that can build up in the kitchen. So why not enjoy the scent of citrus to make your cleaning a little nicer to deal with.
The Lysol Cleaner comes in a 22 ounce trigger spray bottle and will deodorize and disinfect surfaces in the kitchen along with cutting grease and grime from kitchen surfaces and will kill 99.9% of germs. It's available in most super markets and Walmarts also. The price can range any where from $1.93 to $2.39.
SURFACES IT CAN BE USED ON:
Counters
Kitchen Sinks
Appliances
Stove Tops
Cleaning and deodorizing trash cans.
TO OPERATE:
It's easy to use just like any other spray bottles. Just by turning the end nozzle counterclockwise to spray. It can be adjusted to spray out a mist or just a steady stream. A few times when I had run out of my Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom cleaner for my bathroom tub, I've even used the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner in the steady stream adjustment on my tub to clean it. It did a pretty good job and even left my tub nice and shiny after I rinsed it out.
When I clean my counter tops I hold the bottle 8 inches or so from the counter and spray it good. If I have a soiled stubborn stain I will let the spray set for about 8 minutes before I wipe the counter. Although the label on the bottle states that no rinsing is necessary, I will still take a dry paper towel and wipe the counter off thoroughly, and then wet another paper towel and rinse off the whole counter.
THESE ARE THE BACTERIAS THAT ARE STATED ON THE LABEL THAT THE LYSOL KITCHEN CLEANER WILL KILL:
Salmomella
E.coli
Staphylococcus
Streptococcus
I have a Almond colored fridge. And with the grand kids going in and out of the fridge, I have at one time or another found some dirty grime from their hands around the handle on my fridge. Just a couple of squirts of the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner on the dirt and in seconds my fridge is looking good as new again.
I like to use it also on my stove top, especially after I'm done cooking, to clean up any spatters of grease or sauces on the stove top.
It really comes in handy in the fall, when my husband does canning. He cans many jars of homemade salsa, and after scalding the tomatoes, preparing all of the ingredients, ladling the salsa into jars and then putting the jars into a hot water bath, my stove and counter does get a little messy from Salsa splatters during the preparation of the canning. We have a deal. He makes and prepares the salsa, and I do all of the messy clean-up after wards. Believe me when I say, canning salsa will make a mess of your stove and counters, no matter how careful you are. But I have my Lysol Kitchen Cleaner to take care of all of this mess. I usually wait until the stovetop has completely cooled down before I spray it with the Lysol Cleaner. I may have to scrub a little on the burner plates where the salsa has hardened up from drippings when he has filled the canning jars, but the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner has never let me down yet. In a matter of 15 minutes my counter and stovetop will be all nicely cleaned up again.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS LISTED FROM THE LABEL ON THE BOTTLE:
Alkyl
Dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides
Alkyl Dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides
Inert ingredients ( includes detergents and other grease cutting agents)
Contains no phosphates and contains biodegradable cleaning agents.
A FEW CAUTIONS:
Keep out of the reach of small children and pets.
Can also cause eye irritations. If the spray gets into the eyes, rinse the eyes out immediately with plenty of water for at least 8 minutes or so.
If any of the spray gets on the skin, it should be washed off immediately. It's a good idea to wear gloves also. I always wear rubber gloves when I'm applying any kind of cleaning solutions.
DISPOSAL OF THE BOTTLE WHEN EMPTY:
When the Lysol Cleaner bottle is empty, I always wash it out thoroughly in water and then throw it away in the trash. Never re-fill the bottle with any other cleaning solutions other then a Lysol Kitchen Cleaner refill.
I've used Lysol products for years now, and have always been happy with the results that I get. The Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner, Citrus Scent gets the job done. It cleans up all of those dirty grime and grease surfaces, while it disinfects and deodorizes also. Leaves a nice shine on kitchen faucets too.
The Lysol Kitchen Cleaner is not recommended for use on acrylic surfaces. If your using it on painted surface, it's best to try it out in a small area first. I have a wooden shelf under my cabinet that's also over my kitchen sink. I keep a small collection of my roosters on this shelf. I use the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner every so often to clean off the shelf, and I haven't had any problems cleaning the painted surface of the shelf with the Lysol Kitchen cleaner. But I still do recommend that any painted surface should be checked and tested first before applying the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner.
My husband has used the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner to clean and deodorize our outside trash can. He sprays the inside of the trash can well and then closes the lid. After a hour or so he takes the garden hose and hoses the trash can out good, and leaves the lid off to let it air dry in the yard. He does this a few times a month. I do admit that it does remove the smell that trash cans all have.
FRAGRANCE:
I've found the Citrus fragrance in the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner is not overly strong. After I've used the Lysol Kitchen Cleaner in my kitchen, I've noticed the fragrance will linger quite a while. The fragrance is not over whelming and will deodorize a room quite nicely. It's a light enough fragrance that I don't get a headache, like some other scented cleaners I've used.
I do recommend the Lysol Citrus Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner for all of your kitchen surfaces, along with other surfaces as well. Once you've tried it, it'll give you all the confidence you need to clean up and disinfect, deodorize and clean all the grime and grease that kitchen surfaces will get from daily usage.
