| cryclown's Full Review: Samsung SGH-X426 |
I read these reviews before I bought the X426 - and yes, it is very slick in design and lightweight. But the comments on the volume really need to be emphasized. The level that you hear your calls is fine (and can be adjusted) but it takes a true friend to let you know that your voice is completely distorted because the microphone is so loud!
I like the design of the phone so much that I ignored the first few comments about the level of my voice (and I don't YELL when I'm on a cell phone) but was finally convinced when I was trying to record a personal greeting for my voice mail. I couldn't hold the phone far enough away from me to record the message to be audible. Until I can get back to the cell store, I am using the ear bud that came with it - the outgoing volume is much better, but requires specific strategic placement for use.
Battery is also very low after only 2 days of stand by and maybe 1 hour of use. I don't think that my expectations are too high, but the charge should hold longer than that.
I 've always had a Nokia, but wanted a flip phone and they don't (currently) make one. I probably try an LG, which unfortunately doesn't have any reviews posted here!
