The Pioneer Receiver I purchased was defective so called Digital Mega Store and told them about the problem. I was told to send the unit back to them (Was given a RMA#)and it would be replaced. I sent the unit back to them at my expense and then waited for the replacement unit,1 week went by and I did not hear anything from them. I called Digital MegaStore and was told that I never talked to anyone there and that they had know idea what I was talking about. I told them that I had sent them the Pioneer Receiver as they requested and per my tracking number they had receiver it. I was then told that they do not do exchanges or repairs on receivers and that I had to contact the manufacturer. I stated that they had my defective receiver that I was told to send them, and I had the name of the person who had signed for it. Then out of the blue they found it and was told they had sent me a new unit out through Fedex and was given a tracking number. At this point I was very upset because I kept getting different stories, but I was releived because I was told that a new receiver had been sent out. When the receiver arrived I noticed that it was the same one that I had just sent to them and now it was even damaged more than it was before!!!! The shipper (Fedex) must have dropped it. I called Digital Megastore and told them about the damage. I was told to get a damage estimate and they would file a claim for me and that it would be a couple weeks, that was in January its August and still nothing. There is $763.72 in damages to the receiver and here I sit.I saved all emails from them and its all here. Digital MegaStore has ripped me off and Im not happy here. Its just not right.
UPDATE: 8/16/04 Still nothing from Digital MegaStore, Ive contacted the Better Business Breau in New York,I dont know what else to do here.What a sick feeling knowing you have been scamed!! Buyer Beware!!
UPDATE: 8/22/04 Well same story from Digital MegaStore. I have tried to post this Review on the other sites PriceGrabber,Nextag & Yahoo but somehow Digital MegaStore is blocking or Removing it. I JUST CAN,T TELL ANYONE ENOUGH TO BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ANY PURCHASE FROM DIGITAL MEGASTORE. I just hope the Better Business Bureau in New York can help me. This was my WORST buying decision ever...
UPDATE: 8/23/04 I heard back from the Better Business Bureau
and its not good. I have been SCAMMED!!!! I have a pioneer receiver here with $763.72 in damages from Digital Mega Store and they will not help me in any way. Its just not right...I just cannot belive how they handled this....DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DIGITAL MEGASTORE>>>PLEASE
8/31/04: WELL IM OUT $763.72 HERE! IF I WANT TO GET THE RECEIVER FIXED I HAVE TO PAY THE $763.72 OUT OF MY POCKET! I WAS MISLEAD AND LIED TO BY DIGITAL MEGASTORE! ITS A SHAME THAT A BUSINESS CAN DO THIS AND GET AWAY WITH IT. I MADE A BIG BIG MISTAKE EVER BUYING FROM THEM......
