nice smell but doesn't really work

I bought the orange cleaner thinking that it would be easier to clean the stove. There were bits of dried-on splattered grease on the stove top and I applied the cleaner on them thinking it would take less rubbing (like those in the ads) but I was wrong. They do nothing at all in terms of cleaning stove tops or even cupboard covers or anything that's been dirty. I rubbed and rubbed (vigorously) and still the dirt doesn't come out. I tried it on other things like doors, cupboard doors, counter tops etc. They're just like a bit of liquid soap diluted with water in cleaning so if you have tough things to clean, this is not the product to buy.
