| mitch501's Full Review: 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac |
We bought our 2004 Sporttrac ADRENALINE 4x4 in March of 2004. It has the 4:10 rear end with limited slip. This truck is one of the most fun vehicles I have ever driven. I have NEVER driven a more comfortable vehicle before. We have the leather seats with heated and lumbar option.
I have driven this vehicle over various surfaces from city to highway, to dirt roads to a little bit of mud for fun. This vehicle preforms flawlessly. You can lower the rear window with the touch of a button. It rides nice and everything in the vehicle is located comfortably. My wife drives this more than I do but I can't pry her out of it. If you want to learn anything about this vehicle or ask questions from the experts before you purchase, go and ask at www.mysporttrac.com I have learned more about my Sporttrac from these people.
The first thing I did with this SUV is take it from the dealership to a tire store and get rid of the stock tires. I purchased BF Goodrich All Terain T/A's in 265/75/16. It gave my Sporttrac a more meaty look, rode nicer and added about an inch and a half lift with the tires. Then I drove to the exhaust shop and had the stock exhaust hacked off and added a duel cat back exhaust. I replaced the stock air intake with a K&N FIPK and it runs much more smoothly. I've since added more modifications.
