After a great deal of research, my husband ordered a digital camera for his father as
a Christmas gift from clickfofdigital.com. As we live in California and his father lives
in Missouri we had it shipped to him there. Three days later my husband received a
call from clickfofdigital.com refusing to complete his order, since his billing and
shipping addresses were not the same. My husband asked why it was an option on
their website if they could not provide the service. The man's response was that it
was for people sending gifts and not for people trying to avoid paying the sales tax.
Since we won't be going home to Missouri this Christmas, I have ordered all of our
gifts online and had them shipped out of state. This is the first time I have
encountered this situation. I have also shipped to states with higher sales taxes
before and been charged the higher tax. I understand this is the nature of buying
online and shipping to another state.
We have reordered the camera from another website. We were forced to pay more for
shipping due to the three days that clickfordigital.com wasted before calling and
refusing to fulfill our order. And the only response we've received from the second
company is a shipping confirmation and a thank you. Needless to say, we will not be
using clickfordigital.com again.
