Pros: 5 Point harness, Latch system and installation isn't too difficult.
Cons: Not suitable for a newborn.
The Bottom Line: A good deal for the price. Comes with the 5 point safety harness. Also has the Latch system for newer vehicles. Not too difficult to install. I am very satisfied.

I recently bought this seat for my 5 month old grandchild. I did a lot of shopping around before I made my choice. The seat we were using was pretty old and I wasn't sure of it's safety. During my search I read a lot of horror stories about faulty car seats and it really made me take this purchase very serious. From what I gather it seems most problems occur because the seats are not properly installed. I understand why they aren't installed right, it is really not as easy to do as it would seem.
This is a nice sturdy seat and installation wasn't too difficult. At her age (5 mos.) she seems to be pretty comfortable in it. It is very simple to adjust the harness straps once you get the hang of it. This seat comes with the hooks for the latch system but my car is not equipped for this. I was able to remove the side latch hook strap but not the one on the back. I had to sort of knot it up and it just hangs there. Very important to me is the 5 point harness that this car seat does have.
They say this seat is for 5 to 40 pounds. A newborn could not sit in this seat without falling forward or being curled up in a ball. It sits way too straight for a newborn.
All in all I am pleased with my purchase and I recommend this to someone who doesn't want to spend a fortune.
