I have been driving my '02 Silverado since brand new. I am overall very happy with the truck. I have the 4.3L V6 manual transmission. The engine and tranny and clutch have held up perfectly with 53,000 miles. When I first got the truck, I was getting 23mpg, now after 53000, I'm getting 20mpg. Problems that I have had are: Tires lasted 28000 miles before steel belts showed through (very normal highway conditions), and the rear disc brakes are horrible. I have replaced them twice now and I'm not brake happy. I've read a lot of message boards that have said the same thing. Overall, though, I am very happy with the truck.
