I'm glad my experience with Dish will at least help a few people avoid the problems I've had with them. That makes me feel good.

Hi there,
We just switched from DirecTV to Dish Network. We had Dish Network ages ago and we figured the services were about the same. WRONG!!! DISH SUCKS. They promise you the world and deliver you mere dirt. The DVRs are awful in comparison to the TIVO at DirecTV, the guide system is retarded, reception is spotty (even in sunny Arizona) and getting service to come out and fix something is impossible. I was considering cancelling until I read that I pretty much have to pay them for the remainder of the year anyway. Perhaps I should try to start cancelling around 9 months in the hope that they git 'r done by 12.

Now I know I will most likely NEVER suscribe to DISH. I can't believe they would be so sinister. I am also going to buy a tape recorder to tape all my phone conversations. I really liked the review though. It was so thorough and detailed and I can see it happening all over again to somebody else if they cancel their service. Its such a pain to cancel any service usually. I hate that.

Im glad we use Directv. I live in Arkansas and we lose ours occasionally but not for very long (during storms).
They have great customer service-and im happy. Im so glad I didnt go thru the dish network. Thanks for the insight!
