This service comes as close to fraud as online services will allow. For almost 4 months now I have been receiving ludicrous customer service excuses for failed downloads and movies that do not become available after payment. I am now writing an article for a consumer advocate about this company.
The customer service people will bs you, but you can't get a hold of them anymore, you can't call anybody, you have to navigate and endless round of forums to read and read and read and give up on why they can't get it done. They certainly can't come to the phone.
Their customer service auto response is to refer you back to the same topics of information that didn't help you the first time. here is no listing for "refund". Contrast this with starz ticket and movielink live and phone support. Cinemanow is basically a one way bank that counts on a big percentage of their disapointred public to go away and not bother.
The stable of excuses ranges from "new technologies" to "changed websites" to "still working to resolve your problem". I actually got an email this week from one of their csr's complaining i shouldn't criticise them but provide information, the same information visible in the header required from a dropdown list that can't be avoided to report a complaint. None of them EVER can replicate the problem on THEIR computers. They just don't know what you are talking about.
I rented an Amanda Bynes video that had corrupt code. Oops sorry. I rented a movie when they first changed their site, i still have stored the days and days worth of email and correspondence referencing endless phone calls where i had to explain and explain and explian their business to them. What a technologically crippled bunch of scammers.
