I admit it. I like to clothing shop. However, I also like a good deal. I want to stretch my dollar until it bounces back. I also want quality merchandise and a reasonable delivery time when I shop online. Just My Size online store is one place where I shop.
The store offers a variety of clothing, shoes, hosiery and lingerie for sizes 14W to 40W. Their items are primarily marketed to women, but Just My Size also has a men’s and children’s line. The website also features a Sale and Outlet area.
Navigating the Site
The Home Page of the website is colorful and offers a lot of choices. The page is divided into three distinct areas.
At the Top
The navigation links along the top of the page include: Home, Sale, Clothing & Shoes, Bras, Panties & Lingerie, Sleep & Lounge, Workout, Swim, Hosiery & Socks, Men & Kids, Outlet.
Above those links are a helpful Bra Finder icon that when clicked opens a screen where one can search for bra styles by specific size (38A to 58J). Next to this is an Online Catalog icon that offers instructions (if needed) for how to shop the website. There is also a Shop By Shape icon that when clicked helps one to identify their body shape and then view the style clothing Just My Size offers that will compliment one’s figure. There are also links for the Shopping Bag, Checkout and Customer Service. If you wish, there is an area to sign up for their email list and a toll-free phone number in case you wish to order via phone.
A search box allows one to search by keyword or style number. I typed in the keyword “sweatshirt” and six results came back: a woman’s tagless V-neck on sale, two hooded fleece shirts for men, a youth crewneck, a girl’s sweatshirt and a boy’s sweatshirt. Looking through their website, I see some holiday/seasonal sweatshirt designs that did not turn up in the search ... I don’t rely on the search feature to show me everything available.
In the Middle
The center of the Home Page features large color photos of special offers and sale items. Click on a photo to view featured items.
At the Bottom
The bottom of the page is filled with links to various areas on the website. Here is a list of the categories and their links.

Shopping the Site
I had received a Just My Size catalog in the mail, so I knew the style number of the items I was interested in. It’s easy to type the style number into the search box on the website and have a new page display the item. I’ve also browsed the online offerings by category ... especially the sale pages. One never knows what treasure might be found. I have only ordered clothing such as shirts and sleepwear from this website. I can’t buy shoes via the internet since I can never tell if they will fit.
Each item has its own page. A photo of the item displays with an option to zoom into the photo for a more detailed view. If the item comes in more than one color, a color palette is listed beneath the photo. A cool feature of the site is that for some items, when you click on a color, the item in the photo changes to that color. For example, if the photo originally showed a shirt in black, when I click on the color “rose”, the shirt changes to that rose color. I wish all the items changed color like this since it makes it easier to visualize what something looks like in various colors.
To the right of the photo is a description of the item, including fabric content, washing instructions, and any special features. The price is also listed. If the item is on sale, the regular price is shown along with the sale price. Then one can select the color of the item and quantity. Click the “Add to Shopping Bag” button to add the item to your shopping cart. If you are finished shopping, there is also a “View Shopping Bag” button that takes you to a page where all your selected items are shown.
On the “View Shopping Bag” page, you will see a list of the items selected, their price, and a subtotal of the order. If desired, you can adjust the quantity of the item or remove it from the list. On two of the items I had selected, I noticed that the screen said “Out of Stock” for the colors I wanted, so I removed those items from the shopping bag. From this page you can also proceed to Checkout.
Checking Out
I finished selecting my items, including a nice sweatshirt with a screened design on sale for $11.99 (normally $17.99). I double-checked the Shopping Bag to make sure all the colors and quantities were accurate. Then I clicked the “Proceed to Checkout” button.
An option is presented: 1) Checkout without setting up an account, or 2) Set up an account with a password and log-in information. I chose to proceed without setting up an account.
The next screen asked me for my name, address, phone number and email address. The following screen offers various shipping methods: Standard Delivery via U.S. Postal Service (East Coast 4-6 business days / West Coast 6-10 business days), Priority Delivery (2-3 business days and add $6.00 to the standard delivery cost), Next Day Delivery (by 10:30 am the next business day for most locations and add $13.95 to the standard delivery cost). For either Priority or Next Day shipping, orders placed before 2:00 pm EST are shipped the same day. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii can take up to three weeks.
A chart is provided that details the Standard Delivery charges:
$24.99 and less – $5.99 shipping
$25.00 - $49.99 – $6.99
$50.00 - $74.99 – $8.99
$75.00 - $99.99 – $10.99
$100.00 - $124.99 – $12.99
$125.00 and over – $13.99
I was lucky and had a coupon code that offered me $4.00 shipping no matter how large the order. Since my order came to $56.96, normal shipping would have cost $8.99. I was not charged sales tax.
Just My Size accepts these credit cards: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
After the credit card information is entered, the next screen offers a review of the order. I checked my order, saw everything was okay and submitted it for processing. Then I printed the order page for my records.
Notification & Receipt of Order
The following day, I received an email from Just My Size confirming my order. This email also had an Order Confirmation Number, which was not on the page I had printed from their website. The email included a summary of my order and confirmed that the merchandise was in stock and that I should receive it within the next two weeks. There was a customer service email address should I have any questions. A link to track the order was included in the email.
I live on the East Coast and received my package nine business days after placing the order. It arrived via U.S. Mail in a flexible plastic bag. The first thing I noticed on the bag was the writing that announced the bag was resealable for making returns. My first thought was this is great ... no need to hunt for a shipping box if I need to return something. My second thought was, if the bag can be resealed so easily, what is to prevent someone from opening the bag to remove an item at any point during shipment or delivery.
I didn’t have to worry. All my items were in the shipping bag. I had ordered four pieces of clothing. Each was in its own clear plastic bag, and each bag had a label identifying the product. The package also contained a packing list and catalog.
The clothing arrived in good condition. One thing that struck me as strange was that I had ordered three oversized t-shirts in three different colors. Two of the shirts had Just My Size tags at the necklines. The third shirt had a Hanes tag. I know that Just My Size and Hanes are part of the same parent company, but I was surprised that Just My Size shipped this Hanes item. I compared the Hanes shirt against a Just My Size shirt. The only difference was that the Hanes item was not as long in the body. I also had another concern regarding the Hanes shirt. I have purchased Hanes items before and have had problems with the fabric being colorfast. I’m still washing some Hanes t-shirts that I’ve owned for years by hand because color bleeds from them during every washing. Good news! All the items I received were colorfast (I tested them before washing them with other clothes).
In case you are wondering, I have never had to return an item or speak with customer service.
Summary
I will definitely order from Just My Size online again. I keep alert for sales since I hate to pay full price if I can avoid it. The store offerings are limited to the Just My Size line of clothing and accessories with some offers from Hanes, but that’s fine for me. The clothing is of good quality. I’ve been pleased with everything I’ve ordered.
