Poor experience all the way through

Despite all the positive reviews, I must tell you about my negative experience. I ordered 2 Friedrich C-90 air purifiers from them, totaling over $800. The policy on their website states that they wouldn't charge my credit card until it was ready to ship. They charged it the day after I ordered it... but it was nowhere near ready to ship. The order confirmation said that if I didn't hear from them within a week, I should call them to check on the status. What?? Well, okay. I waited a week and called, as I heard NOTHING. They said it was out-of-stock but they will be getting them in a few days. I said you should at least let me know what's going on and the guy said he sent me an email, which I don't think he did. He said it may have gotten stopped by a spam blocker, but I don't see it in my junk email or Norton Anti-Spam folder. I mentioned being charged already and for them to take it off until I'm ready to get it. They said they would, but didn't. Anyway, I had to call another week later... still out of stock- I canceled and finally got my money back (whew!)
