My friends are hypocrites. They get down on me for collecting things like Pez products or lunch boxes but they have their own vices; one cant pass up those tacky old school baseball jersey shirts from rock groups like Journey, REO Speedwagon and Boston, another collects salt and pepper shakers and one ... good lord ... I cant believe I am even typing this ... one of them collects Precious Moments figurines. Thankfully the last two that I mentioned are female. So one of them strolls into my bathroom and sees a few rubber duckies sitting on the shelf. Uhh, I didnt realize that tub time for adults required so many ducks. Perish the thought, only one of them actually goes in the water. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people that collect rubber ducks and thanks to this site, they have a place where they can collect some of the strangest, most hysterical ducks ever made. From the run of the mill squeaker tub toy to those that pay homage to queens, rock stars and yes, even Dracula. Yes, you read that right ... a Dracula Duck! I wonder how hard it is to bite into someones neck with an eggtooth instead of fangs ... And dont even get me started on the wonders of the Buddha Celebriduck.
Selection
You have a ton of ducks to pick from and when you hit the site for the first time you will be quacking up at all the cool, funny and strange ducks that they sell. You can stick with the usual rubber duckies that you can toss in the tub. Then there are the ones that have a little bit of extra color to them; still pretty cute but still pretty run of the mill. When I started collecting Pez there was a lot of talk about the Elvis Pez dispenser that was featured in a few movies. It turned out that this was something that was created just for the movie and not an officially licensed Pez product. Rest assured, the Elvis duck that you see at the site is indeed something that you can purchase. Hail to the king baby. Theres duck accessories and mini ducks but its the specialty ones that will really have you in hysterics. From Buddha to Jesus, Moses to Mae West, Queen Elizabeth to the Mona Lisa ... theres more ducks than you can shake a stick at. To give you a true taste of what the ducks look like make sure you that have your browser set to show animations, most of them rotate so you can see their entire body. Be sure to check out the Hi-Tech Duck and Duck On The Go they make great gifts for people that cant live without their cell phone or laptop computer. For lovers
the Sweetheart Ducks are a great pick
for $6.95 you get a two duck set that is bound to make both parties smile.
If you are into music there is no shortage of ducks to choose from, whether you go for the blues [Jake and Elwood Blues] or something a little heavier [KISS] or something with soul [James Brown] - you will find a duck thats perfect for you. If they ever start carrying a Barry White one .. I will order it sight unseen ... imagine the shock value on that. You could just go with the generic type of ducks - Rock Duck, Superstar Duck or even Beethoven, they are still interesting picks. Two of my absolute favorites are Dracula and Scream [from the horror film series]. When I saw that they had these two I let out a huge scream which prompted everyone else to come and see what tickled me to such lengths. The Dead Duck is a nice one to give someone for the 40th or 50th birthday .. especially if its an Over The Hill type of party. Retro fans will love the Mr. T Duck but the more progressive will opt for the Snoop Doggy Duck [minimal amount of bling included]. Sorry, theres no Pee Wee Herman or Spider-Man ducks yet but hopefully they will find someone that makes them and add them to the site. Alas .. my Jester Duck was stolen
who the hell is going to steal a rubber duck from someones bathroom???

Customer service is stellar, some of the best that Ive ever received from an online site. When I wanted to have some ducks sent to other people as gifts, it wasnt a problem. When I had questions about some of the ducks, it wasnt a problem. When you email Dianne, the owner, you get a reply from Dianne, not some assistant or a canned reply. Whether you have a question about shipping charges or new products, when you call or email them, you are treated with respect, rarely put on hold and never allowed to hang up until you hear the words ...Is there anything else I can help you with?
Payment Options
When you place an order you can pay for it with your MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners Club. Discover is not accepted [or at least it wasnt an option the last time I ordered]. You can opt to pay with a money order but they have to be obtained from your local post office, if you are going to pay with a money order call or email them first to see if they will accept other types of money orders. Since they do a split billing [one for the order and one for shipping], if you are paying with a money order or check you should call first to see what amount you need to send them.
Shipping Fees
Just like Zydeco Gifts, iloveduckies.com does a spilt billing for shipping. They will ship anywhere in the world and never charge you any type of extra fee. What ever it costs them to mail them out at the post office is what they charge you. My orders have always arrived quickly and when I have had them sent to other people, they were surprised by the quality of the ducks, the way they were packed and how fast they arrived. Shipping from Canada can be a problem some times but so far I have never had a package detained or opened. Most of my orders have been in the twenty to thirty dollar range and have cost about six dollars in postage. That doesnt mean that you will get the same charges and if you have questions about this, call or email them and they will help you out any way that they can. When you get your credit card bill you will see two charges, one for the order and another for shipping. You dont get ripped off and they can offer better shipping rates than other businesses in Canada thanks to their honesty and dedication to making sure that every customer is satisfied.
The Bottom Line
I have never had a bad experience when dealing with this site. The lay out of it is very clean and organized and it is 100% kid friendly. Theres no adult material or outside links so you can let the kids cruise through it without having to worry about them coming across something that is objectionable. Prices are extremely reasonable and in most cases it is cheaper for me to order ducks from this site than to buy them locally - even with the shipping fees. If you are a duck lover or know someone that is, trust me when I say you are going to want to bookmark this site and visit it often. Exceptional customer service, great prices and a user friendly website are just a few of the reasons why I continue to shop at the site ... if you dont believe me, give them a try for yourself.
As always, thanks for the read!
