Pros: Fair Price, A Very Fast Processor - Great for Multimedia Tasks.
Cons: No Noticeable Processor Speed Improvement While Surfing The Net.
The Bottom Line: With Dell you get a lot of great stuff for a reasonable price. In a very competitive market it is very refreshing having a company committed to customers.

The New "Dell Dimension 8100 Series / Pentium 4, Processor 1.4 GHz is a very good overall buy in todays' very competitive PC market place. My particular model had a price tag of approximately $2289.00. The system hardware consist of 128MB of RDRAM, US Robotics V.90/56K PCI telephony modem, 12X MAX DVD ROM Drive, harman/kardon speakers HK-695, 19" (M991) black factory monitor,
32MB NVIDA TNT2 M64 APG graphics card, 60GB ultra ATA hard drive(7200RPM), 3.5 In. floppy drive, Dell enhanced quiet key keyboard, MS intellimouse, 8X/4X/32X CD-RW Drive. The system software includes: Windows Millennium (Me), Microsoft Money 2001, Microsoft Office (small business) edition 2000, Norton Anti-Virus for Windows (Me), SPIRE 6.0 for Windows, music match 6.0 1st original addition.
The system also come with a year of free 56K dial up internet service, provided by "DellNet" by MSN.
I would rate the overall performance of this Dell 8100 Dimension system with a grade of a (A-).
The system is great for any multimedia jobs like, photo/video family projects. The Pentium 4 Processor is great for those very demanding high-tech video games, it moves the graphics around so smoothly on simulated games particularly, that you feel that your in the game event itself.
The system with over 52 programs in the start-up/desk-top
loads the whole system in under 1 minute, and also the Dell Customer Support / Technical Support Teams rates well above todays' other United States "PC" makers.
