Pros: If used correctly it leaves no residue. Good for classic cars.
Cons: Not for the average car. Did not restore factory finish.
The Bottom Line: Try it if you are a car buff who needs a pristine car wherever you go as it's convenient. Otherwise, use old fashioned soap, water & wax.

| maglib's Full Review: Simply WoW® Tuff Buff |
Simply WoW Tuff Buff is a waterless wash and wax product. It comes in a 22 ounce trigger bottle with a suggested retail price of $5.79 from the simplywow.com web site.
The bottle has a black trigger spray top with wide or direct spray option. The bottle itself is white and has dark green stickers with black and yellow writing with a picture of a classic car. Looks nice and like something my husband might pick up to keep his car in good shape while waiting at the mechanics shop.
The product states that it is all organic, with no acid, hexane, VOC's or silicone, nor petroleum distillates and is safe for all paints and surfaces. It claims that it will restore your car to a factory shine; remove bugs & bird droppings; is safe on black chrome; and leaves no white residue in seams.
The direction say to simply spray and wipe with a soft cloth, turning over cloth to buff dry. Heavily soiled cars should be washed first.
OK so it's a 22 ounce bottle of car wash? I don't think this product was meant for the average every day car, but was meant for classic cars, car shows, limousine drivers, expensive vehicles etc. It isnt meant to replace your hand washing nor is it meant to replace the local car wash. The normal consumer would not be one to pick a bottle of this Simply WoW product up to wipe bird droppings off. I mean it even says heavily soiled cars should be cleaned first.
With the above in mind, I first tried it on my 2001 Honda Odyssey minivan. It is a watery substance that sprays on easily with little effort and wipes clean easily with a soft cotton cloth. To do a whole car with this would be long and tiring, but easier than a full hand wax as it wipes off clean. To wipe up small spill, yes. I could see only a small difference in the car after spraying it and following the directions. Could it take the bird droppings off? Absolutely, but so could water on a napkin. I did only 1 side of the hood of my car and asked 2 others if they saw a difference and they all said no. It did not restore the factory finish to the area that was a little oxidized. Again I don't think this product was meant for this type of vehicle although it does claim to restore factory finishes which it did not.
Now I waited for my husband to come home in his 8 month old Mercedes E350. He thought I went out and bought him a new product for his car. I got a big hug and kiss. He went to work. His car looked almost perfect before and still looked almost perfect afterwards although a little cleaner. I will say it did help with a little scrubbing to get some of these little grease lines out but, it did not get out some small tar spots on his car. It didnt work like a wax to fill in scratches either nor did it claim that it would. It did help clean his tires and rims as the Mercedes is quite awful with front tire blackness from engine oil. He did say he prefers the other stuff that he buys (you can spray it on the tires and then drive which you dont have to wipe clean and leaves them really shiny) over this Simply WoW as you had to wipe the Simply WoW off the tires and get rid of the dirty towels. It worked on the windows and bumpers too. When properly wiped clean there was no apparent residue on the paint, windows, chrome nor black bumpers so it cleaned them and left no issues behind. The bad thing we did notice was if you missed wiping any stray spray, it left water/polish spots so be careful to wipe it clean. He also must have gotten a little dirt speck on the clean white towel as he managed to scratch a small spot on his car using the spray and wiping his car clean so make sure your towel is free of grit before going to clean. Did we really see any difference? No again, we did the same test of doing half the hood and not doing the second half and I couldnt see any better look. I really could not see that this product did anything more than a clean cotton towel and some soap and water.
After 1 week this product did NOT provide a long term wax so it did not replace hand waxing. It is only good for spot cleaning that won't harm your vehicle.
Okay the biggest question? Who are we trying to sell this product to? If it's for the car show guy who's car must look pristine and he/she constantly cleans his/her car and doesn't want to scratch it or use harsh chemicals then by all means this works and would be very convenient to carry on the road to clean up small dirt spots and oil residue. If you have your car in shows, I'm sure you may be happy with it's convenience and you might want to try it. It is not for the average car and I myself would not go out and buy it.
I gave Tuff Buff a below average as it did not meet its promise of a factory shine nor does it market itself to the correct audience. It did wipe clean easily and left no residue if used properly.
I received Simply WoW Tuff Buff from Source Direct for free in exchange for my truthful opinion. Thank you for the opportunity to try it out.
