The Bottom Line Just some of the poetry I used to write - thanks Epinions for adding these categories.
I fell in love with you
through the poetry
you wrote with your eyes
the poetry you wrote for me
and someone else.
And as my pen ran out of ink
I shook it violently -
condemning it to hell and everlasting
damnation, watching it drain uncontrollably
as if being sucked out
from the other end by want.
And all I ever wanted was to hug
you and hold you close.
To stop and savor the words
that you spoke.

This Heart
Sara, take this heart, it belongs to you.
It is mine and it thrives for your compassion,
And longs for your seduction.
It will raise you up to places we've never been,
Even though you are reluctant, but willing to explore true feeling,
Together we can find true meaning.
Sara, do not refuse my heart's desire,
It will persist through strength and faith alone,
And it will achieve pure tone.

Untitled No. 4
there was a time when I wanted you...
...so much.
A time when I would have died for you,
but I now think you don't know what that's like...
...do you know what that's like?
(c) June, 2000, Steven H. Lee
what the darkness doesn't know...
You like me, don't you?
