Looking around, trying to find a good online source for address stamps, I came across the VistaPrint Online Store. I wanted to purchase a good stamp that could be used at work, and that would have all of the necessary vital information on it. It also had to be more than just the normal 3 lines, so I was hoping to find a place that would let me create my own version. It seemed like the site would be really easy to navigate, because their main page showcases the main products that they specialize in. Vistaprint sells rubber stamps, business cards, postcards, holiday cards and calendars, stationary, labels, invitations, and announcements just to name a few. They provide quick buttons on that front page which takes you out of the portal, and into specific sections of the site designed to present each particular product in a positive light. I knew right where I was going, and clicked through to the rubber stamps and labels section.
The site sells many different types of the rubber stamps, which include small general purpose stamps, small address stamps, or large address stamps. With the smaller stamps, you get up to 4 lines of text, and with the larger ones you are able to personalize 5 lines of text. With both options you are able to use some of the design templates that they already have on the site, or you can upload your own logo and image to work text around it. They do a good job of explaining the details of each option and the prices associated with each of the choices. I thought that I would only really need to work with 5 lines of text after working my way through some of the options, and decided to go right to work at creating my own address stamp. They were not kidding when they say it can be created in just minutes, but there was one thing that frustrated me in the selection process. When you choose one version, you enter in all of your information into a generic data box that then integrates into the template you have selected. But, if you decide you want to try another template they make you fill all of the information out again. It seemed like an easy fix that could have saved me some time.
They have a lot of options that involve bolding or underlining text, putting graphics on the left or right side of the stamp, or going with a simple text presentation. There were a couple that I liked, but I ended up going with one that underlined the University name and then had three lines underneath for the department name and physical address. I liked the option and went through the process of making the final purchase. Using a product code I had from a mailer sent to us, the large rubber stamp (product 267-001) cost $8.99. The stamp measures 2.24 inches by 0.83 inches and is one of the self-inking stamps that has the ink pad already inside the device. It came with the housing already intact, and a black ink pad inside of it. You can choose from black, red, or blue ink when you are signing up to purchase one of these. With the selection, they tacked on a minimal shipping and processing fee of $8.95 to give us a "standard" delivery time on the product. The standard selection indicated that we would receive the order in 14 days.
About 10 days total after placing the order, the VistaPrint package arrived in the mail. It was slightly dusty when I opened up the box (which I don't really have an explanation for), and it looked like a pretty nice self-contained product. After using it to stamp a scratch piece of paper a couple of times, it started working pretty well for me. Using it on envelopes as well as folders has been a good experience so far, and I have to say that for the total cost of $17.94 that I really like what we ended up selecting. Using the VistaPrint site was pretty easy on the whole, with the exception of having to re-enter the data to be shown on the rubber stamps. The pages load pretty quickly, and it seems like they have a lot of nice products that could do well in a home or office setting. They shipped out our stamp well within the specified time, and I was pleased that working with them turned out to be so easy. One interesting note on the site is that they do business cards for free, where you only have to pay for the shipping, but I didn't look too much into that option. I really liked my experience with the VistaPrint Online Store, and I can easily recommend them to anyone else looking for good address stamps or like products.
