I am filing a complaint with the FTC. The worst experience I have ever had with an online merchant. No accountability to the customer for their (Mercantila) mistakes. I ordered a ProForm elliptical trainer which was supposed to ship via Fed Ex Home the same day (it shipped 2 days later via some other carrier). It was supposed to be delivered in 3 days, actually took 8. I was not provided any tracking information via email (I had to call for it). Instead of an elliptical trainer, they delivered a Schwinn recumbent bicycle. The customer service rep promised to ship out the correct item that same evening, and have someone pick up the bicycle the next morning. He said he would call me with a tracking number that evening. It never happened. The next customer service rep said the correct item would ship after they receive the other one back in the warehouse, which is not even going to be picked up for another week! I want to cancel my order and get a refund on my credit card. They won't refund my money until they receive their mistake back in the warehouse, who knows when. They have not demonstrated themselves to be trustworthy at any point in this transaction. The only thing they got right was charging my credit card!
