Sprint PCS works the best for our needs

We selected Sprint PCS a couple of years ago because it gave us the best value for the type of calling that we do. We have children located in other areas of the country and we needed a cellular service that enables us to call them from our area and along the routes to their homes. Additionally, we both do some travel for our jobs and Sprint seems to be available in the most metropolitan areas. We pay such a low rate per minute that we use our Sprint PCS phones for almost all of our long distance calling since it is the most economical way to go.
The quality of the calls is excellent. I often ask my wife where she is calling from and am amazed that she is on her mobile phone.
I think anyone selecting mobile phone service needs to determine how they will be using the phone most of the time in before selecting a provider. Sprint PCS would not necessarily be the best choice for everyone. Another thing to consider is how a potential provider defines off-peak hours. Some providers are now defining nights as 10 or 11 PM to 7 AM and weekends as midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. Sprint PCS still defines nights as 8 PM to 7 AM and weekends as Friday 8 PM to Monday 7 AM.
Have had some difficulties with customer service but nothing major that wasn't worked out. From discussing customer service with people with other providers the norm seems to be plenty of employees available to sell you phones/service but very few employees available to provide service for existing customers.
