The Bottom Line: If you're planning on visiting the Gurnee Illinois area, this is definitely a great place to stay.

Well, I've just returned from a nice 3-day vacation to Gurnee, IL. I spent a lot of time looking for a reasonably priced place to stay that was close to Six Flags Great America. After I studied the options for a couple of days, I decided to stay at the Comfort Suites.
When we arrived, it was very easy to find the hotel because it was right off the tollway, and the sign was very easy to see. (After you've been on the road for three hours, the last thing you want to do is drive around looking for the hotel for a long time). We walked in and it took two minutes to check in. The employee at the front desk was very nice, and even though his phone was ringing, he gave me his full attention.
After check-in, (which is after 3p.m.)we took the elevator to the third floor and found our room very easily. When we walked in, I was immediately impressed. The room was very big, and the King size bed was HUGE! The room had a very big television set, and it had a microwave and a small fridge. We also had a couch and a desk in a smaller room off to the side. The room was very, very clean.
We stayed two nights at the Comfort Suites. Both nights were very quiet and very relaxing.
There were only a few things that I did not like about this hotel, and they are very minor. The bathroom light was next to the bed, and I was constantly forgetting to turn it on before I went into the bathroom. Also, the pool was very small, and every time we wanted to use it, it was PACKED with people, so we didn't even use the pool once.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting the Gurnee area. Especially if you are going to Six Flags Great America. It is extremely convenient, and the prices are reasonable. (Especially if you reserve your room on the internet)
