Proactive measures... Chasin' Zits Away.... What You Should Know About Proactiv Solutions

The Bottom Line If you have acne-afflicted skin, I highly recommend Proactiv Solutions.
Through the course of my adult years I have dealt with varying degrees of acne. I suppose I should feel grateful that this annoyance didn't hinder my junior and high school years. Yet at 34, when a relentless outbreak continued to invade my face, it was clearly time to try something different. Previously I had sought advice from a Dermatologist, and used products such as Retin-A, Salicylic Acid, Benzamycin, and Oral Antibiotics. While this was a possible option, I really wanted an over-the-counter solution.
That is when a friend recommended the Proactiv Solutions system. She credited this program for clearing her face, saving embarrassment, and further stated that she felt it was an affordable option. She mentioned that she was on an auto delivery system, via QVC*, costing her approximately $41.00 every 60 days, products arriving on her doorstep. Considering the ever-growing pile of acne products under my bathroom basin, I felt that the club pricing that she mentioned was worth it. Yet part of me hesitated.
What a pleasant surprise when she presented me with a Mini-Maintenance Travel Pack of products. This quaint set included the 3-step program, Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, and Repairing Lotion. Additionally she gave me a Refining Mask Tube. After sampling the system I knew this line was unlike any that I previously tried. My skin felt better, but ever more importantly the existing acne began healing and production of new annoyances was ceased. Decision was made; out went the multiple products I had attempted to combat acne eruption with!
As I continue to share please keep in mind that although I do have a cosmetology license, and I have suffered from acne, I am not a physician. Bottom of the line is that the information shared is presented by a layperson, meant as an opinion with regard to my experience with the Proactiv Solutions system.
If you are acne-ridden, I highly recommend Proactiv Solutions. This product line has cleared my face, refreshed my appearance, and made a remarkable difference. Basically you should know that this line uses an active ingredient of benzoyl peroxide, which is a common combination of antiseptic and comedolytic (stuff that loosens the plugs in clogged pores and lets the pores open) with mild anti-inflammatory benefits. Benzoyl Peroxide has been successful in treating Comedones (blackhead, whiteheads, nodules). Honestly the most important thing that I want to share with regard to Proactive Solutions is that it worked for me, and it has for many other teens, women and men. Celebrity approval is handed from Judith Light, Vanessa Williams, and Stephaine Seymour.

There are additional things you should know about Proactiv Solutions. It is imperative that you regard this as a skin care system for those with acne. This isn't a product line for those that have an occasional blackhead, nor is it meant to replace consultation with a Dermatologist. Yet this line-up has successfully helped many teens and adults toward obtaining and maintaining a clear face.
Also, I feel it is important to at least obtain the Basic 3-Step System. These products are meant to work together. The Basic 3-Step System includes the Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, and the Repairing Lotion. I feel that most will see beneficial results from merely using the Basic 3-Step System. If your skin is oily and/or you are experiencing papules, pustules, or inflamed nodules, than I suggest that you also purchase the Refining Mask. My t-zone can be rather oily and I reaped great benefit from adding the Refining Mask. There are additional products offered by Proactiv Solutions and I have successfully used several.
There are category specific sections here at epinions, to discuss the particular Proactiv® Solution products, so I will refrain from hashing out the details and insight with regard to each item, but I will provide a glimpse. I am pleased with the beneficial clearing gleaned from using the Proactiv Solutions system. Prior to using this line my face had become acne ridden. The breakout cycles were relentless and sometimes affected my mood. Some of the acne was painful, adding further misery. I started to witness results within one-week, and at the end of week two was ever more impressed. Portions of my face experienced mild dryness, which was helped by using the Proactiv® Solution Oil-Free Moisture. Overall I am exceptionally pleased with this skin care system and feel that it is worth the expenditure.
