Lady In Darkness

The Bottom Line ***********************************
Gosh I haven’t written anything in awhile. I can’t believe how fast time can go and how slow it can go at times, too. (sigh) AJ, has been gone since April 19th and it seems like a year.
Here is another poem I wrote. I actually thought the first line when I was checking to see if it had gotten dark yet. Kinda weird, but I’m finding myself doing this more and more.
I have been looking at the stars every night to get comfort that my son is under the same night sky. In that moment I feel closer to him and pray for his safety. Each day & night that passes brings me closer to the day he will come home.
I just can’t wait to give my big goofy son a HUGE BEAR HUG!
Errr, I kinda got off the topic…Sorry. Here is the poem. :O)
Lady In Darkness
She walks softly
Veiled in darkness
Shadows linger
In the folds of her skirt
Diamonds glint
Upon long black hair
An opal glows
With a soft white light
Nestles between
The breasts of night.
