Low Carb Ice Cream Base: Choose-A-Flavor

The Bottom Line This recipe is no-fail.
If you're looking for low-carb, high flavor, full-fat ice cream you've come to the right place:
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup Sugar-Free DaVinci (or Torani or Nature's Flavors) syrup -- vanilla
2 Tbsp. liquid lecithin (or one egg, beaten)
1 Tbsp. glycerin (candy/icing supply item)
1/3 c. xylitol or erythritol (sugar substitutes)
2 Tbsp. Splenda
(20 carbs for total recipe, from which I make 6 to 8 servings at a whopping 3.33 or 2.5 carbs per serving)
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and whip with a whisk until frothy. Follow the instructions for the ice cream maker of your choice and you're all set.
You can make this in a traditional hand-crank machine or any other model you may have.
Now, for the flavors. Drum roll, please ...
For Vanilla:
add 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract (add 3 carbs if your vanilla contains sugar)
For French Vanilla:
add 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract and 2 beaten egg yolks (add 4.2 carbs if vanilla contains sugar or 1.2 if it doesn't)
For Chocolate:
add 1/4 to 1/3 cup Dutch process cocoa powder (1/3 c. makes very chocolatey ice cream, 1/4 makes a lighter chocolate flavor). You may also substitute chocolate SF syrup for the vanilla in the recipe and further reduce the amount of cocoa you use. (add 2 or 3 carbs)
For Mint Chocolate Chip:
add 1 to 1-1/2 tsp. peppermint extract and 12 drops green food coloring (if you wish). During last 5 minutes of processing in ice cream maker add 3/4 c. SF chocolate chips or chopped SF chocolate bars. (add 3 carbs)
For Coconut:
add 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut (mine has 2 effective carbs)
substitute 1 cup coconut milk for 1 cup of the cream
(subtract 2 carbs from total recipe -- fewer carbs in coconut milk)
For Butter Pecan:
add 1/4 cup melted butter (cooled as much as possible) and at the end of processing add 3/4 c. toasted and chopped pecans. (add 3.6 carbs). I add 1 tsp. of butter flavoring, too, for more butter flavor, but your taste may vary.
This is it for the time being. We can eat only so much ice cream, you know.
