Pros: Good location between Clearwater and St. Petersburg, FL. Quiet area, not "glitzy".
Cons: Taxi cab may prove to be costly. Consider a car rental if flying in.
The Bottom Line: Quiet Beach, watersports available on premises, concierge services, relaxed environment for a "Hilton" brand. A place to unwind.

Do you want a guaranteed Gulf Front room with a private spacious balcony overlooking the white sandy beaches? Would you like to stay in a safe area that is in a quiet location as well? Would you like the location to be accessable to nearby attractions within reason? Then the Hilton North Redington beach may be your answer. It is the most relaxed Hilton property that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at, amongst all Hiltons. This 8 story property has a convenient location between Clearwater and St. Petersburg, Florida.
Where is N. Redington Beach Hilton?
The address is 17120 Gulf Blvd., N. Redington Beach, FL, 33708. It is about 23 miles from the Tampa (TPA) Airport or 16 miles from the Clearwater Airpark (PIE). If your driving there from the Orlando area, like myself, the drive is about 1 hour and 1/2.
What are the rooms like?
Most of the rooms consist of two double beds with a few kings upon request. The motif is of tropical design and rennovations have been made recently for beddings, decor, and linnens. The rooms include iron & ironing board, clothes line in bathroom, hair dryer, and coffee maker w/complimentary tea and/or coffee. Rooms feature sitting area inside, as well as a desk, and outdoor sitting facilities are there as well on your own private balcony, which is spacious. All rooms are interior for entering the room. There are specified floors for smoking and nonsmoking.
What else does the North Redington Beach Hilton have to offer?
The restaurant called "Mangos" on premises is well worth the visit. They offer a buffet breakfast for about $11.00 per person, well worth it. They also offer full service dinner. The waitstaff has to do a lot with my experiences there, which were good. If you don't care for the prices of "Mangos", don't worry, McDonalds is only one mile away for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I added this in because it is an option, since I personally can not afford "Mangos" there every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! But, anyway, check "Mangos" out!
Tiki Bar- Open every day, overlooking the gulf. They offer "Happy Hour", lite lunches, appetizers, and lite dinners. Live entertainment is available, usually on Friday and Saturday nights. Usually a "one man band", but I have seen two or three on few occations.
Meeting facilities- this Hilton does specialize in small groups, probably about 120 people max, and under. It is a great location for small banquets, weddings, and reunions, to name a few.
What is nearby that I have personally enjoyed?
Suncoast Seabird Santuary- this is about 1 mile north of Hilton N. Redington, located in Indian Shores. If anyone has the passion, the founders of this place do. Entrance is free. But, if you care, there is a box at the entrance to donate any money, doesn't matter if it is even a penny, please put it in. No one is watching over you to do so. Anyway, this great place, has resident pelicans, seagulls, crows, owls, and much more. Some of these birds are permanent residents. Please visit here, this is a favorite of mine. Those birds who can be rehabilitated are set free, so nice. (I have witnessed rescues, but that is another story).
St. Petersburg Pier
This is for the night life person. Three tiers of entertainment with eateries, music, and shopping. All for those to meet and gather. About a 20 minutes drive away.
St. Johns Pass
Please visit this boardwalk, about a 10 minute drive south from Redington. This area features numerous eateries, speciality shopping, and fishing excursions. As well as evening cruises, and much more!
My favorite restaurant
"Frenchies on the Beach" (Clearwater Beach). (About a 20 minute drive North from Redington). Last I saw, it was painted pink. I have enjoyed this restuarant, features outdoor for eating overlooking Gulf. My favorite is the "Fish Tacos". Always fresh. Check it out!
